You could also find it by yourself, in true adventure game fashion.
Haha! Maybe I can. I'm just a little bit discouraged to play the game all over again only to find out that I couldn't do anything different.

Hum, but now that I am thinking about it...
Spoiler
I remember feeling guilty about picking up "a certain item" in the beginning of the game. Specially after I've found out that, later in the game, an infinite source of "it" was available somewhere else.

(re)Adventure Time!

[EDIT]
Just leaving that item alone didn't work... I'm out of ideas.

Why don't you guys post a hint here so others (me included) may also find the good end?

Hints & Tips / Re: Unga needs Mumba

You're welcome Shadow. I've spotted it by chance myself (luckily!).

Now that you've mentioned it, I'm also wondering about the existence of a second ending.
I was so pissed of when I was coerced to...
Spoiler
...give my hard-earned Mumba away.

Maybe we are supposed to craft some sort of...
Spoiler
...mock Mumba meat to be given away.

Shadow1000,

You need to...
Spoiler
...use a pebble. Read the next spoiler to know exactly where it is.

SPOILER:
Spoiler
Pet the boy in the head and he'll offer it to you. You must grab it from his hand.

How exactly must I...
Spoiler
...emblaze the sacrifice after it's been placed besides Mota Raganu's statue? I've tried using the glowing stick several times but something is missing, it seems.

[EDIT]
Found the answer:
Spoiler
You need to add a combustible substance to the stick, so the fire will last longer...

Direct answer(warning!)

Deep the stick in animal fat (Araakalo's cave).

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Venator

I may have found another small glitch:
Spoiler
If you use any item on Elias' office front door, the character animation gets stuck on the idle (?) frame.
[close]
Another thing (about the medallion/safe puzzle):
Spoiler
Like Nick of All Trades I can't find the solution to this puzzle. My answer was: http://tinyurl.com/6pt7mat
[close]
Another glitch or just me messing up?

Very entertaining game! I'm really enjoying it.

I'm having a hard time figuring out the correct power distribution on the last puzzle. It seems that...
Spoiler
...I need to maintain all life support systems powered up (air, cabin pressure, heat shields) + the undamaged thruster (starboard). Is that a correct conclusion?
[close]
After that, do I have to...
Spoiler
...ask the AI to reroute the trajectory through dialogue options?
[close]
If not, what should be done?

[EDIT]
I had the note maximized...
Spoiler
... and covering the instruments panel, before I could see there were hotspots for the controls.
I'm now figuring I must maintain on: life support (air supply, cabin pressure, heat shields), starboard thruster, bridge controls.
[close]
[EDIT2]
Dumb me. Optimizing power cells is not required!
Spoiler
For some reason I was trying to leave switched off all unnecessary systems, but that's not part of the puzzle. So, as long as you leave life support on + thruster + controls, it doesn't matter if other stuff is on or off.
Anyway, I have now managed to partially correct the trajectory of the ship, but the starboard thruster control is now broken.
[close]
[EDIT3]
Finished it! Just needed a bit more speed.
Thank you for developing it KodiakBehr. It was very, very entertaining! ;)

Thank you for the fixed build. Yeah, I always run my AGS games on windowed mode to avoid stretching and thus preserve pixel crispiness!

Although I have to agree to Pinkel about the constant freezing every time the librarian say anything or drink coffee. At first it was all right, like you said. But I guess when I'm stuck and trying to find out what to do next, I tend to get more inpatient because of all the re-reading/re-clicking.

Although your hints did help me, I'm stuck:
Spoiler
I've read 2 books, a "shitty" ;D one to find the librarian's phone number; one about Gynecology to confirm the menopause symptoms.
In my inventory I have: mint pieces, headphone, phone and explosive remedy.
I believe the next thing I need is some sort of rod to use with the headphones in order fish things (food & estrogen) out of Hasna's bag, from a safe distance.

The thing is, I can't find it.

Thank you. It is neat first game!

I'm getting the following error when I execute winsetup.exe:

Code: ags
---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
Error: unable to launch 'BiFru ESPA?OL - copia.exe'. Make sure that the file is in the same directory as this Setup program.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

(I think it's "BiFru ESPAƃ'OL - copia.exe")

Since apparently no one else got it, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

Hints & Tips / Re: Night of the Testicle
Sat 21/05/2011 14:35:47
Thank you Cyrus! I'm finally moving again.
I believe I've found a small navigation issue:
Spoiler
When entering the Lab, if you "USE" the entrance, you gain access to the main computer room (which is what I was doing). Instead, if you "LOOK", "TALK" or use any item, you're taken to the Top Secret objects room.

[EDIT!!!]
I've managed to finish and it was a very, very fun game to play! Like Khris said: the ending was totally worth it. ;)
Although I did read the considerations about all ending alternatives on the Completed Game Announcements board, I would also like to know:
Spoiler
is there a way to convince Penis to drink the brew while rolling away, using the dialogue options?

Thank you for the heads up, Mods! I'm still stuck, though:
Spoiler
I can't find the "somewhere else" you've talked about. I've been to other locations but nothing seem to have changed and I can't use the knife. Could you (or anyone else) give me more clues?

Khris:
Spoiler
It is indeed a rolling pin of sorts. Emphasis on the rolling. :=

I've managed to move forward...
Spoiler
...after reading the description of the other 2 liquids. It's quite obvious after you do.
If anyone else get stuck, feel free to ask me for further tips, though.

[EDIT!!!]
Stuckness strikes again. I'm inside the corporation, but...
Spoiler
I can't disarm the bomb! I have picked up a small knife, went outside and into the "side bit" of the building. I then cut the wire, but to no avail. The bomb still goes off.

What am I missing??

I'm also stuck and need a hand. Last things I did:
Spoiler
I have managed to go upriver and angered the mob in front of Jizz Corp (lol!). I have then returned to the lab and "borrowed" a test tube containing a green liquid (of unknown properties, according to the nearby computer)

Very interesting game. ;)

Note: So my previous comment make a bit more sense: I misread MiSaNtHrOpE's hint and understood...
Spoiler
...the shopping list was supposed to be in the fridge.
[close]
Note 2: Ouch.
Spoiler
The safe was hidden in a place so typical, that missing it like I did actually hurts a bit.
[close]
Note 4: I kept seeing Yosemite Sam ( :D ), instead of the professor, on the actions menu (where his head is split in 4 colours).
Speaking of which, the colour based actions system was the only part of the game I found confusing (counter-intuitive) and couldn't get used to, no matter what. Loved everything else! Thanks for developing and sharing.

Off to try to open the front door using method #2...
#15
Same thing is happening to me: I can't see the...
Spoiler
...shopping list anywhere.
[close]
I have noticed there might be 2 ways...
Spoiler
...of doing certain things.
1. Opening the pantry cage: I've mixed baking soda and vinegar and blew it up, but later I've managed to build a Mop and magnet tool that would've allowed reaching for the key, I guess.
2. To assemble the Dr. Spliner costume, you must use his father face. It can either be done by following Snake's instructions or by using the sharp glass shard on a second photo, above the fireplace on the Dr.'s office.
[close]
Maybe...
Spoiler
...that choices had an effect on the availability of the shopping list?

@Corby: awesome! A lot easier indeed.
@ProgZ: I don't thing pixel art is silly at all!I didn't think she'll be whiling to learn it for this piece, though, so I've presented the not-so-great-but-a-lot-more-intuitive shortcut. heh.
#17
Hey, thats 100% better! :)
To give a pixelated feeling without too much trouble, I would recommend the "save for web", if you're using photoshop. It'll allow you to automatically reduce the amount of colours on your palette, thus making gradients less smooth (pick no dither option!) .
BUT: Since PS selects colours by predominance of use, less present colours tend to be thrown away and that includes darker tones (contrast), highlights, small details and so on. I would recommend doing it separately, by areas of chromatic predominance (skin, reds, yellows, etc) and then re-assembling the pic again.
A quick (lame) example:

PS. I think ProgZ actually pixelated (and thus reduced colours) by hand. That would be method 2. It produces much better results but consumes a lot of time. :)

My edits are on my previous post, Nightfable! ;) I didn't want to occupy too much space so I provided them as links.
In my attempt to make the head/body ratio more proportionate, I may have made him too scrawny. Heh.
I'll just go ahead and [ img ] them:

@Ali: Excellent edit!!
@Nightfable: It is a very difficult emotion to convey on a static image, specially when most of the body (and thus, all its potential expressiveness) is out of the frame. Currently, I think he looks anguished or saddened, like it's his metaphoric heart that is aching. "-How could she leave me?"
But, like I said, it is quite a hard emotion, even to offer critique on.
Among other things, he looks quite relaxed. The eyes-squinting, wrinkle-forming and teeth showing on your ref pic is a lot more intense. Still on the ref: his neck muscles are seemingly tense and his right shoulder is being pulled forward (also tension).
Interesting! I'll try to make an edit and see if I can try to understand it myself.

[EDIT] I have made changes that seemed fit according to what I've said. Also, for this size of head, the body seemed too big and wide, even for our buff king. :D I've changed that too.

"Coming... Someday... Maybe..." Hahaha!
Thanks Wersus. It was a very enjoyable game.
The presence of custom dialogues for the most improbable actions made me want to take my time to explore. And I'm glad I did because I laughed a lot. So... thanks.
