Looks good. You could add a blue glow around the stars so they don't look so plain. You could also add some purple nebula things in the distance. I think it would make the style look a lot cooler.

I personally don't like windowed mode. It feels wrong...
Fullscreen just puts me in the game more. Windows
makes everything feel weird.Dose that make any sense
at all?  :)

A whopping 262 frames, made in Ms paint!
You can download the animation to see it in its entirety because it dosen't load all the way sometimes. Be patient for it to finish :)

The cave background is awesome.  Looks very hand painted.  :o

Nice character also, could use a mouth though.

I tottaly agree, remake all the way. And this rocks, I just love the art, you have real talent! A music speech pack would be very nice, but you would have to get a Roger impersonator  ::)

I have the newest version of Roomedit I think, but its on my old computer without internet. Sorry. :-\
Also buy all three (or four if your a fanatic) Monkey Island games, don't make the same mistake I did  :P

Yes, you can rip art from games. There is a better way then print screen :)

But this depends on what game. For instance, if you want MI 1 graphics just do a search on Google for "Monkey Island ripper". If you want a Space Quest I remake ripper, do a search. I *think* some will rip all seirra graphics from a certian point or time peroid. Correct me if I'm mistaken. A lot of people make those types of things, I don't know too much about it myself, but they're probably easy to find. Good luck with AGS.

Heh, don't ask why I revived this old thread.
I just like the topic.

A question I have about paint - if you don't mind, oversizedchicken - is about choosing colors.

Games like "Apprentice" always seem to have the right....beautiful colors. I know they can be chosen in paint, but how is it done?  Or even in the other programs. Not technically, but artistically.

And if you see this, agsking or gilbot, why is dpaint good? What can it do better?

Dpaint is good because what gil said, and other neat things like gradients (YES, I did say gradients). People say they shouldn't be used often but you really should if you want the classic look of MI or FoY. It also has so many cool hidden features. I love the thing  :'(
:)
Also if you want natural, beautiful colors, just look around you. See what color things are. This by itself helps a lot for me anyway. Look at other games who do it well, experiment.

Anyway, since I found out about the neat features of "the eraser" my life has never been the same. I'm a changed person I tell you.

Congratulations... I wish it were in English. There are probably people who will do this for you. Just go ask, I'm sure someone will.

Cool perspective. I don't like that greenish shade though, maybe you could make it grey or blue.

Wow. I really agree, HUGE improvements! I also agree with farlander. The stars should be much brighter IMO, you can't really see all the nice detailed stars unless you turn up the brightnes on the monitor.

I agree with Yak, tone it down some. Good background though. I really like that tree!
