[Here's the current status:]

Hey gang,

I'm in a bit of a jam at the moment. See, I have been going at this holiday flash game project for a couple o' weeks now to get ready by Christmas. Everything was going smoothly, I got a programmer working and a sound guy to make some nice audio for the game. Then I just did the art and planning like I usually do. Suddenly, real life kicked in for the programmer, and he left the project a few days ago. These things happen, but now I'm left without someone to program the game.

I've been sweating all my options looking for someone with enough free time to help out, and that led me to these boards. I've had many great experiences with (AGS) programmers, so I thought why not ask here. I know there's enough talent.

Here's the current status: about 70% of the game's graphics are done, enough to already make a fully workable game. I'll be working this weekend to get the rest of it done. On Tuesday I'm moving from my current location, so I can't do any major graphic stuff then. The sound guy is already done with some music, and working on more tracks and sound effects. The game is already half-way programmed in AS2, and if you're interested you could build on that or start from scratch. The deadline is "before Christmas".

I was thinking that a 2D de-make of Discworld Noir would be great, particularly if it ripped the voice-work of Rob Brydon et al.

Came to post this. Usually I think remakes are unnecessary, but a bugfree version with improved 3D graphics and animation of Discworld Noir would be wonderful.

I would also like an updated and more polished version of Theme Hospital.

1973 Bear

Go with Pinball, 1973 for the sole reason that no one likes it. The others are average at best and invoke no feelings.

I'm a chain smoker (tobacco ofc) and when abroad, I'm quite amazed how little people smoke elsewhere. For example, I felt really weird in Stockholm because during 3 days of tripping through capital, I saw only 2 people smoking, out of massive crowd you'd see in such period while touring city. Here, every second or third person does smoke.

That's because scandinavians enjoy their tobacco by stuffing a wad of it underneath their upper lip. Healthier, but looks like shit!

I see it like this: Either we can keep supporting criminals economically or we can remove their biggest income by legalizing and taxing drugs. People will continue to use them both ways.

Is there a way to access stuff you've picked up or is there some other clever way of solving the old lady scenario?

Thanks! I'm amazed at how many people actually saw that. After I shaved my head the comments reduced. 

Well done, but really wasn't very entertaining.   Not even lolwut, that's reserved for the humor that is really awkward, like you need to cough or something - your body doesn't know what to do, because it's so unexpected or weird.  But the only close to funny moment for me was the fish (I think it was a fish) in the intro.  That was almost a lolwut...but then the blood shooting out of the arm moment was pretty much the norm from then on, so it wasn't really awkward anymore.

Why are people trying to define "lolwut".

The voices although were a little amateur.  Sounded like a cheap muffly mic.

I don't agree. The recording quality might have been a little low on some of the characters, but I think especially Edwood's voice actor sounded almost professional.

I didn't find the comedy funny at all, but like I said, I was pretty entertained.  That is all that matters.

Uh, ummm... hm.

I wouldn't mind watching another video.  Keep making them.

Oh and the hand animations were absolutely great.  From the door bell to the radio knob, etc.

Just for the record, I learned today I was accepted to start studying for a bachelor degree in animation this fall. I'm pretty sure this toon scored me the seat. Woo.

I don't mind the remake since it's built on the same code, and I get a chance to switch between graphics anyway. That haircut is terrible though, and I usually enjoy a good mullet.

The episodic thing I'm not too fond of. I can see it working for Sam & Max since they've been in both comic and saturday morning cartoon-form, but not for Monkey Island. I just don't get the adventure feeling when I have to tune in next week to find out what happens. The choice of making it 3D is probably both cheaper and faster, but it loses the personality it had in the first three games and looks too sterile.

We'll see when it gets here though.

And Hillbilly : Run the setup program and set the graphics filter to "none".
