Heheh thanks for the advise, I'm afraid that I can't do much in the present state of the image but I'll work on the eyes and change the background a little. As for the hand, he's just nervous ^^" so maybe it isn't right... I'll do better next time. The only person that should be tense here is the indian cuz the pirate young lady doesn't know the meaning of fear

If the shadows on the carpet were only under the characters would that do the trick?

Okay - I know it's not game art but I need your opinion anyway :) I have worked for like 13 hours on this one and I want some comments. What is wrong? What do you like? please help?

Dunno...maybe change the color...it's too similiar too skin. try to scruff it a little bit so it doesn't look so flat

Nooooo! change the haircut! It ruins the character 0.0 (In my opinion)

If I might ask - how will you do backgrounds? They can't be all black because you won't be able to see the character. How will you do them then?

No he does not :) he's a werewolf - he has a tail - this might have confused you. Do you think that I should erase it? and do you see anything else that is confusing?

Oh it was nothing, really :) just an airbrush with density=1. I sprayed one layer of the sand-shadow color and other one after that with sky color directly on the sand. sometimes I make a new small image and make those sprays on transparent background and then use it as a pattern :)

EDIT: and all this with 17 colors XD my first try at backgrounds like that. I'm kind of happy with it but I still wish I was as good as NailDnuma...

It's just some space for foreground shadows of some destroyed ship parts etc...but It's a little too much of it anyway :)

I think that it's almost done. I fixed few things mentioned by acemonkey (beside the sky - because I want to have a lot of similiar colors to get the player in the right mood for the game). Also I decided on 320x240 resolution. I hope that it was a good choice. Please make an opinion and tell me what to change/add/shade or anything :3
