Did she bring any Bunyips?!?!

Tragically, that horrible animation- and the horrible game I stuck it in- have been lost to the mists of time. Oh shucks, oh darn.

Kinoko, DragonRose and Dart.

Where have they gone?

Wow, weird. I haven't looked at the AGS forums in... I don't know how long. Years, I think. I randomly finish playing KQIII Redux and decide to check the forums for nostalgia value- the day after someone mentions me!

And DUDES! We're STILL having "OMG there are girls on the boards!" topics?

Haiku Maybe Help has bounced back and forth from popular to Gen-Gen several times, as I recall.  Same with the post your picture thread. I like Gilbert's definition- sort of a time out space when people go on posting frenzies.

Then again, for me two posts in a month is a posting frenzy.

I just finished playing. Fantastic game! Great puzzles, VERY pretty (I love the rolling clouds in particular) and an awesome story. I only got 90% wisdom and 90% honour, though, so I'm going to have to go back and do it again.

Oh shucks, oh darn.

1. Cool! Mittens starts on my birthday!

2. Bah. I'm going to be in summer school (I'm short 1 class for graduation! ARGH!) so I can't take the whole week off. But if you end up doing a day trip somewhere (Ivy's right, the Science Centre is SO COOL!), I'd love to meet up with you guys!

I got out of an arguement with a friend today by telling him he was, appropriately, fighting like a cow.

Torin's Passage has the worst ending by far.

The hero's fallen in love, discovered he's supposed to be king, made contact with worlds that haven't been visited in decades, saved his adoptive parents, and cleared the name of the woman who saved his life but was accused of killing him, saved the world...

...then he goes home and NOTHING HAPPENS! Just "Oh, it's great to be home!" and the credits! WHAT THE HECK!

Also, the end of Mask of Eternity sucked (how does he get back to Daventry? Does he even go back?), but since that whole game sucked it's not surprising.

The Aquabats- Captain Hampton and the Midget Pirates
Lemon Demon- Pirate in a Box
Pyrates Royale- Don't Sail There
Pirates R Us- The MP3 Waltz

Actually, anything by Pyrates Royale or Pirates R Us will do you good.

I find it funny that it's the guys arguing over whether or not the group should exist.

As for my opinion- sure. Sounds great. Why not? If a group of girls want to get together and make a game, huzzah for them.

Is this Austalian or American dollars?

Yes, I'm resurecting a two year old topic. Why, you may ask?

Because there is hope!

For the link phobic, Geman publisher ANACONDA has picked up Gray Matter/Project Jane-J, and is working towards a Q4 2007 release. WOO HOO!

It's kind of nifty that three of the four cancelled games I mentioned in my first post have been revived.

Sorry, Radiant, you're going to have to expand on your three words. Do you mean that KQV was an "Oh yeah, that makes sense" game or a "WTF?" game?.

There were some moments that were very obvious- throw the fish to the bear, or the stick to the dog, that sort of thing. Others were... not so obvious. So what did you mean?

Fortunately I think juleustig knows all this, and is here on the forum to learn about online identities and social behaviour, which we exhibit, rather than law, which we only presume to know about.

Well, Canadian copyright laws I DO know about- I was employed as a copyright clerk here in the wonderful country of Canada until just a few short months ago.

Anyway, I was responding to the issue raised by Jet, stating that julestig didn't need permission to reprint things found on forums. I wasn't informing her, I was informing him.

Bah. I'm just a bit drunk, sorry if this is coming off as confrontational. Imagine a string of smileys here to make everything better.

Jet: That's the way a lot of people THINK things work, but just because you think it doesn't make it so. For the sake of copyright laws, it is required to have permission to reprint just about anything longer than 15% of a full document, more than a single chapter, or to reprint an entire web page (not site, page).

If you don't have permission to reprint and try to publish for a thesis, you can get your academic standing revoked.  That's bad.

Radiant: Yes, but there weren't any movies out last weekend that she wanted to see. I made her a pretty little voucher that promised tickets to The Da Vinci Code when it came out.

We aren't even going until next weekend.

lo_res_man: Actually, that is a really neat idea, one I hadn't particularly thought about before.

Thanks!

I read the book, and I honestly liked it. I liked it enough that I've actually read all of Dan Brown's books.

Maybe I just approached it differently. I was trying to solve all the anagrams and puzzles and things before they were revealed in the book. Because they were based on real codes, I was mostly able to do it. And I also liked the puzzle on the dust jacket.

Gabriel Knight dealt with the subject matter better, but this was still fun.

And I'm going to go see the movie, not necessarily because I think it will be good (I'm ticked off that they put the last scenes in the trailer) but because my Mom has a crush on Tom Hanks so I'm going to see it with her for her Mother's Day treat.
