Just completed it! Very good job!
I especially liked that you used the ambient sounds from the Amiga version.

Do you still need 2D background pixel artists?
QuoteI'm kind of a perennial lurker around here and wouldn't mind contributing (let me know and I can dig up some samples, or draw a new one if that's what's preferred).

Seriously guys...If this gets finished...You MUST find a way to directly send it to Lucas himself!!!
He was always the guy with the big LUCAS stamp that had to be on everything until it made it through to the final production, so you gotta KNOW he played and replayed DOTT until it was just right...
You guys just may be able to get him to reopen LucasArts Adventure Games for this one release...
Umm... Actually, I'm fairly certain I've heard/read in interviews of various former LucasArts employees that George Lucas had virtually nothing to do with the gaming department, possibly barring some Star Wars titles. I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt George Lucas has ever played DOTT for even a minute in his life. Hell, he probably wouldn't even know what it was if you mentioned it to him. Perhaps I'm just being cynical, I don't know.

So please, let me clarify that I have no intention of giving him a bad name as a translator. As a matter of fact, I should have told him in the first place, instead of writing here, and I apologize for doing so.
QuoteThis is best translated (and most widely used here in Italy) as "Sette Città  d'oro".
QuoteI suggest you take this into account for the translation of the final game.

]The speed of walking also troubled me, but mostly because I'm too impatient to wait. I know it's possible to change the speed using the options, right?

Oh, and I have to say the walking gets odd sometimes... Anyone else complained about that?

Oh, and I like the traditional Sam and Max cameo in Indy's office, very clever!

Second; to the team working on this game (I've lost track of who's who)... your original post is now in violation of the rules and needs to be updated immediately with at least 2 [fully visual and completed] backgrounds.
Thanks.
