I'll be there!*

*If I have money and time, which I think I do!

Whee, thanks Blueskirt! I think I'll fix a few things (there's at least one animal in there that walks on air) and maybe add a hint about the secret area you need to find, and then it'd be ready for an "official" release.

edit:
http://nifflas.ni2.se/forum/index.php?topic=1156.0  done!

Adorable little game.

I made a level.

It's called Rain

I want to go!

France or Miami both sound good. Neither are going to be cheap for me, but obviously crossing the ocean to Miami would be a little more expensive. Either way, I'll start saving.

ANTROPY

It's in .sid format, and I'd rather not convert it to anything else, because the whole point of the tune is that the three channels go out of sync with each other and loop forever, creating new music, which means that the whole tune repeats itself only after hours (or days? I haven't calculated) of listening. If you are sid-player impaired, I recommend this: http://www.gsldata.se/c64/spw/

What is wrong with you people! I didn't really like the music, but I don't know if I dare to expand on that or I'll get banned or something.

Stretching the definition of celebrity a little maybe, but I think Will Wright would make an excellent dinner guest. I love reading or hearing interviews, he's so passionate about everything he does. And he's read 5 different books on every topic his games even remotely touch. He's a cool nerd.

Haha, no. Fuck god.

Quote from: MrColossal on Sat 28/04/2007 20:22:54My life is great but I don't think a true believer will ever accept that.
It's because they'll get the last laugh! Just you wait! When we all die, you'll go to HELL because you were a good person who didn't thumbs-up to Jesus whenever you did something nice!

Burn, Mr "I think my life is so good"!

Is this going to integrate with Home somehow? Like, you can meet people and play the games together somehow?

Quoteand conversions of several popular existing games such as the Ben Jordan series and Apprentice are expected to follow shortly afterwards

Also, dibs on making my Home character look like Ben Jordan.

A good rule of thumb is "don't release the first thing you make". I learned this from making music, and I applied this rule also to my AGS CAREER.

Still, in retrospect, the first AGS related things I actually did unleash upon the ezboards weren't much better than the stuff I kept for myself...

QuoteClicking on the "new" button no longer takes me to the last post. Instead, it takes me to the first post. Quite the inconvenience, and it defeats the whole purpose of having a "new" button.

Ok, I think I've fixed this now. Please let me know if you're still having issues.

I had that problem too, and it appears to be fixed. Hooray!

Song: Ocean Land, by Orphaned Land
Comments: I have a weak spot for "eastern" melodies and instruments, and it's even better if the band is from the area and not just a bunch of westerners experimenting with scales.
How I discovered it: "Hey Ghor, check this band out... "  "Ok."
Fun Fact: It's about the only metal band I can think of at the moment that I'd recommend even to people who don't generally like metal. Jewish metal! A concept album about Noah's ark and the great flood! What's there not to like?

Sorry about the heavy modification. Maybe I'll do a proper one later.

I don't like golf games, yet I could try and sit down and play a bunch of them and would be able to tell you which ones were well made, accurate and would be fun for a golf loving game player.

You can separate well made games from poorly made ones, but if you didn't like playing the game, I would not trust your recommendation at all. It's as BlueSkirt says, you need to hear a recommendation from somebody you know who liked it, or failing that, a reviewer (or several, preferrably) who's good at writing and explaining why they feel like they do about the game.

A reviewer shouldn't give something a higher score because they think "I don't like it, but you might!" I just want honest opinions from reviews. What did you like about the game? Why? What didn't you like about it? Why? Chickening out and saying "I guess I can see how somebody might like this, maybe" and then giving the game an inflated score isn't helping anybody.

Song:
A Headache and a Sixty-Forth by Ron Jarzombek.

Comment:
Quote from: Ron Jarzombek
This title originated at a WatchTower rehearsal. I can't remember who had the headache, but someone said "Man, I've got a headache." Then someone else said "Man, I've got a headache and a half," then "I've got a headache and a quarter." Of course this continued until we got to "...a headache and a 256th" or so. The one that stuck in my head was "A Headache And A Sixty-Fourth."

For this song, I wrote some disgusting, sick, annoying themes for one measure of 4/4, followed by a measure of 1/64.

How I discovered it:
Helm introduced me to the guitarist/composer/amazingperson that is Ron Jarzombek, a man who uses interesting ideas and theory to make music that actually sounds good and not just pretentious.

Fun fact:
Nod your head slowly in time to the music. Every second nod you'll have to extend that nod just a little bit to catch up with that sixty-fourth!
