Hi all,

I was recently ported this game to iOS. This is not adventure game, but I think it's worth a try.

I remade most of the graphics and game layout, as it was a bit too small to tap on iPhone/iPod touch.
iPad version looks better, as my original game is 800x600, it was scaled perfectly on iPad.

Special thanks to Janet and JJS for their help and guidance.

Take a look at the first post for screenshots.

Please kindly support and rate. Get it here.

Thank You

Hi all,

I download and try the port yesterday, and I've been struggling with this error since yesterday, and unable to fix it until now.
Any idea what is the cause or which library I was missing to add?

Thank you so much in advance. I really interested in this, but my engine related programming is not good.

Tue 18/01/2011 15:24:04
Wow.. this looks great.. love the characters and the backgrounds.. but i don't really like the talking portraits, agree with Baron, maybe the high res portraits doesn't really fit the graphics.. anyway, good job and good luck in completing it..  ;D

Hi,

Please consider my game Fun With Numbers as

Best Programming
This game features an unlimited number of puzzles, as the numbers are randomly generated, as well as dynamic grid creation which is quite difficult to achive.. :D And also, auto strike features, selectable auto movement, multiple markers, and smooth keyboard control. Last but not least, you can create your own sheet pattern!

Best Non-Adventure Game Created with AGS
Probably the only AGS game that you can play it, with or without computer, since you can print the puzzle, and play it everywhere you are.. :)
And of course, if you like fill-in cross numbers, you've to consider this game.

Best Non-Player Character
Mr. Panda the narrator

Mr. Panda is the narrator of the game, beside that, he will teach you how to play this game.. and he will talk, wave, etc..
so, give your support to Mr. Panda..

Best Animation
This game also featured a simple yet fun animation of Mr. Panda, the narrator..
He will talk, wave, smile, cry, walk, and teleport.. so, it was so fun animating Mr.Panda.. hope you all like it.. :D

(..if only.. Best Tutorial/Documentation)
It was kinda sad to know this category was not in this year award.. but well, it's a pleasure to create tutorial and documentation for those not
familiar to the game.. especially for non-adventure game genre.. :)

A very nice game!! for me, this is Ben's best artwork so far..

and i have to say those rain/snow/leaves falling effects might be one of the best particle effects in ags games, it's really blend with the background which i like it so much..

nice story and music.. and of course, great voice acting!! well done Ben & Calin.. and anyone involved in this game..  :D

Wow.. this is great!!

the tournament is the most fun part, the physics works really well, and the AI is amazing..
must be a very advance scripting..  :)

However,
Spoiler
when the computer shot  the final shoot in one round, and both balls (target and cue ball) went in (scratch), the computer still won, thus, i lost.. it's not suppose to be like that right? but i believe it's very rare to happen.. sorry if my understanding is wrong.. :P

anyway, nice game!! well done Steve.. it's very fun to play.. :D

Fynewrylst Memories: The Secret of the Golden River   ;D

It's actually a remake of my own game made with 'Basica' 20yrs ago.. a 9yrs old kid who is a big fan of King's Quest that time.. :P

I guess the game title already said it..  ;)

Hi all..

I have released Fun With Numbers v1.1..  :D

Based on the few feedback, I have implemented new features..

Fun With Numbers now have auto-strike feature, which will automatically strike/mark the number you entered.

Now you also can turn off the auto movement after you enter a number. So, by setting the orientation to 'off' will stop the auto movement.

Thank You and enjoy the game.  ;D

Hi,

I just completed the game, and i have to say that i like it.

I like the plot and story, graphics are ok, musics are suited well with the game, and the puzzles are quite well spotted.

Few bugs found, and the interaction might not be the best, but I still manage to complete the game without any problems (i play the first version, the one without talk button, skip dialog, bugs mentioned by others, etc.).

I am sure the new version will have a better gameplay

Seems like a lot of efforts in making this game, well done!!

Congratulations to the winners!! and the nominees as well!!  :D

@snake:
thanks a lot! I hope you enjoy the game  :D

@pablo:
QuoteInstead they could have been made automatically when I fill a row/column. You might also want to make it possible to move the yellow box "through" the unwritable areas instead of it bumping on them when moved using the arrow keys.
Good idea.. i never thought about it..  :P

QuoteAlso I hated that when I typed in a number the number cursor (the yellow box) moves automatically. This is very distracting and I'd much rather move it myself using the keyboard. It's annoying having to switch between horizontal and vertical modes.
You can use spacebar to switch the orientation.. :D (i also annoyed before i implement the spacebar shortcut as well..  ;D)

Thanks a lot!! Hope you enjoy the game.. and glad you like the panda!

Hi Calin, I just completed the game, and I'll have to say that it's really a great game..  :D

Very nice atmosphere, great voice acting, and most of all, the game looks very professional..  ;D

My only suggestion is, maybe you want to use different type of font instead of default AGS font in the next game.. anyway, it's just suggestion for your consideration.. i'm okay with default AGS font though.. :P

Can't wait to play the next episodes of McCarthy Chronicles..  ;)

Hi, first of all, congrats on releasing this game.. :)

I've played and completed it..  :D

Nice graphics and story, and I really like the cinematic cut scenes.. all the cut scenes.. ;D

Anyway, I would like to comment on the GUI on top of the screen. Personally I feel that its too 'merged' with the game screen, which gave me perception that actually the GUI can be hidden (as in the traditional adventure game GUI). In fact, I found myself keep clicking the exit button for the first few screen, but it's totally okay after I get used to it.. it doesn't hurt the gameplay at all. Anyway, it might happen to me only.. :P

Overall, it's a great game, very well polished, so.. Well done!!  ;D
