Those icons have gone wrong in Chrome, (looks fine in Firefox).

So you acknowledge that when you buy DLC it's almost valueless to you and it's rather like throwing money down the drain.

I think we've all learned something valuable here.

Many thanks.

Yes, I think I do prefer it if everything is voiced. It makes everything consistent.

That said, if the object is a sign or something that the character reads and it is big enough for me to read it as well, I'd sooner not have the character bother to read it out unless he has something to say about the sign that I can't myself read, (does that make sense?).

Kind of.

Without mentioning your own games in any way, could you just briefly tell me how many times you have actually paid for DLC?

I feel like I wasn't the one who brought it up this around.

You weren't. It was me, I genuinely wanted to know what Icey's opinions were on DLC, (not his own DLC, stuff he has purchased for other games). Icey should not be getting any kind of warning or strike over this, it isn't his fault.

DLC just doesn't make sense for me- if anything, it motivates me to wait a while before I buy a game.

That is true. I waited for the Fallout 3 GOTY edition because of all that.

For the record, I wasn't trolling. Not really.

I have a question for Icey about DLC - do you *like* DLC? Because I don't, I feel like if it's something important, it ought to be in the base game. I don't think I've ever bought DLC or even had the slightest inclination to do so; it's like being given an incomplete game and told "just pay us a few more dollars and we'll give you the rest". Even if there was an amazing deal, I would be wary of buying DLC from just anybody - Valve has given me enough value over the years that I might be tempted, but if it were anyone else I would definitely pass.

So, I think what I'm saying is, I don't think there is anybody here, (or in the rest of the game-buying population really), who would purchase DLC from you.

Edit: Also this thread should be moved to the rumpus room.

It shouldn't. This thread is here so that Icey's ideas and plans are contained in one thread. Moving this thread to the rumpus room is an invitation for him to make another here.

I think it would be amazing if Icey made a game from a monster's perspective. Kind of like a latter day Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.

If it is do-able, making it so that a [pixelart] object is presented twice: once at original size and again at 4x, would be perfect.  :-D

The bright pink GUI is not very pleasant to look at.

Color, look or both?

Any suggestions then Hudders?

The brightness is the main issue. If it were less... bright, it would be more palatable. Ghost's suggestion looks good too.

If Icey produced anything that wasn't FF derived, I would be so shocked as to fall out of my chair.

I wonder if we should start a Kickstarter project to motivate him.

Every page except the last one in a thread is missing the footer. There's a database error there instead.

Okay, so all users should be able to see their own profile summary now.

While true, the "delete account" option is still missing.

(not that I want to delete my account, you understand...)

If I have to hear someone shitting, I'd rather they were of the same gender as me.

It's unresponsive and only the 8 key seems to do anything

Oh *those* arrow keys... well, no wonder I couldn't do anything in a fight, considering my lack of numpad.

When it comes down to coding I really think a single capable coder with enough time on their hands should do it solo. Sharing a codebase is a pain even without SVN problems.

Well, that's the problem really, isn't it? The people who are enthusiastic about this project and who keep throwing ideas around aren't the people with the skills to make it happen.  :(
