I'm near the end of the game.
I've killed the ghosts, have the bottle from the red knight and am at the black night. When I click on his forehead I am suppose to get a beam that points to a skull but nothing happens when I click on his forehead.
Any suggestions?

Another problem and the last one I hope.
I'm back in the castle - have found the secret room where the princess is sleeping but have neither holy water or snake figurine in my inventory to kill yet another Barghest.
What do I do now?

Never mind I finally got it - didn't use the WT suggestions.
Didn't go to the scarecrow area.
Went down south right away - then west until the 3 paths, avoided the fox, and then ran like heck to get to the lily pad.

Stuck again - am a rabitt and can't get away from the fox.
Can't use the bridge because the beggar is there.
My only route is by going to the scarecrow area.
And I get eaten right away.
Advice would be greatly appreciated... on how to avoid the fox at the start of this running away.

That's probably the wrong shield. Try the one on the ground.

That is the one I'm trying to grab - the one on the floor... is there a bug in the game?
