What sad news.

He was really supportive of me back in my pixel art days and was a very talented man that knew what he liked. I do have fond memories of watching most of the development of Limmy Lizard on Stickam many years ago and how he wanted to make basically an adventure game that was like an episode of The Smurfs.

It is a real shame to hear of his passing.

What sort of thing are you looking for?

 I had a great time at the event this year. I'm so happy that I managed to attend and meet all of you for the first time. I wasn't expecting to learn so much, see such exciting games and have so much fun. The guys recording the event have a big job ahead of them cutting the hours of footage but when it is available online I would highly recommend to everyone to watch it all. Especially the panels and the presentations from Josué Monchan and Dr Adams. I highly recommend them.

I'll make sure Im there next year, and who knows I might have something to show.

Hey guys, it has been a while and especially a long while I posted in the critics' lounge some pixelling. I've decided to start work on an old game I released a demo of a long time ago, and to completely start over and revamp it. My main issue at the moment is that I'm out of practice with my pixelling and I am running in to some troubles.

Here is what I have at the moment:



My main trouble is with the captain's coat. What I want to do is keep shading to a minimum hence the block colours, however it is causing me trouble around the collar and the transition between the light to the darker red. Any advice is most welcome!

I need to make them look a little more spacey. I had one idea of his leg being robotic however with this style it would look like he is wearing odd coloured boots.

I really like the simply coloured and blocky look however it is causing more hassle than I like.

Wouldn't it be better if the screenshots were of well known ags games? Seeing something like a screenshot of Gemini Rue in the editor on the front page would do wonders for the promotion of the engine. We would need to get permission of course, but something to think about rather than 2/3 shots are of a game that isn't released and will be getting a lot of attention from new visitors to the website.

Also I am so glad that things are picking up again in terms of the next stage for AGS.
