This is perhaps the greatest news I've heard for a long time!

I'd have thought everybody would've been over the moon at hearing that another Broken Sword game is on the way.

I loved the first 3 and the 3D made an interesting, yet still fun, change which I think was a good move.

I say bring on Broken Sword IV!

Yeah I've got the game myself.

To be honest I remember really enjoying it too. I remember the puzzles being very simple to be honest; all I had to do was click on everything and talk to everyone as much as you could and the story would progress.

Was there ever a Phantasmagoria III?

It was, till a bunch of Kryptonite-infected virus's got into the system! ;)

So, any suggestions guys? :)

General Discussion / K-Lite Port Forwarding
Tue 01/11/2005 21:09:27
Hey guys,

I just wondered if there's anyone here who knows something about this.

This is the deal:

I'm on a LAN and I am the 2nd computer. The other is obviously the host.

There is no Router, just a simple link-up cable. The Network works in terms of swapping local files back and forth etc.

When I try to open K-Lite is continuously says it's connecting but never does. I know this is a common question but it's really doing my head in. Everybody says it's something to do with port forwarding but I haven't got a clue which ports to forward to or how the hell to do that anyway. K-Lite works on the host computer. Could someone please show me a simple step by step guide please because I haven't really got a clue with all this networking business. Thanks in advance!

Cheers mooseman :)

Voices are indeed going to be featured in the game but they'll be done once the whole game is completed. Send me an email with an MP3 sample to darrenjohnson@onetel.net

Well I'm really interested Black Guard. I can't wait for this. It'll be refreshing for a game with a different genre so to speak :)

Keep up the good work!

Well that's what will be interesting though. Just because Halo is known as an action shooter-up doesn't mean that Black Guard can't make an adventure out of it.

Remember Star Wars: Rebel Assault II? I thought that was brilliant, what with it's blend of action and adventure.

Interesting! :)

Is this based on the Halo console games?

The graphics aren't ripped no. They have been manipulated though. The majority of background photos are infact taken through the day and then 'edited' to look like like night photos. Most people think using photos is a lazy way but it takes me over an hour to manipulate and finalise each background.

It is indeed Splat :)

I actually reckon it'll be done before that but I'm just staying within the safety margin and not jumping the gun. It's coming along great now and I'm really getting into the flow.

Yeah I've been using this for the last 5 or 6 years since it first came out really.

A very powerful program but can be a pain to master.

But good luck with it!

NOTE TO SELF: Definately download this!

Your background art is fantastic! I can't wait for this one!

Great work!

Here's another screenshot.

I'm DEFINATELY going for a 'real' actor instead of the 'cartoony' character in the game so far. But for now I'll stick with him until I get the right sprites.

lol where do you get your imagination from?

I really can't wait to play this game. The others were great!

Still looking excellent!

Even if the programs were disabled after 30-days there'd be a crack or serial on the net within 10 minutes.

Definately RAR. No questions there. As Brisby said, it's becoming a common file now.
