Alright! Sorry for taking so long I was invaded by the hordes of work!

First of all, this was really close, I love (or hate? ;)) all of these entries, so I had a really hard time evaluating the anger in each piece. /summon:list!

FSi: angrysong
"In your face" anger, nice rythm changes, love the end bit and the subtle screaming.

Haddas: fuck you and your horse(this title cracked me up)
This is more of a seeping anger, really moody and heavy on the bass, love the grainy texture and breaks.

ShiverMeSideways feat. Jonathan Sjöblom: volatile
Nice lyrics, well executed, awesome solos, jon_swe is great, this song would sound a lot better performed live!

Calin Leafshade: everyone
I felt this one as a more passive-agressive tune (which is also a good thing), nice lyrics and beat, with a touch of epicness.

Phemar: exwig23
Nice tune for an angry fighting scene or a shoot-em-up game, good rythm.

And now, the much awaited (sorry again) winner is.....Haddas! huzzah!
Again I cant emphatize how close this was in writing, I seriously love them all, really hard competition, you should all be very proud.
Congratulations!

I love...er...hate you guys.

Ok, you've all made me really angry now!!

I'll announce the winners later today, which is really hard 'cause everyone is really pissed off now, so yeah, I'll make you wait a little longer.

Alrighty, you have a very long and exciting road ahead of you!
My biggest tip would be for you to start drawing big, pen & paper. Get some reference (photos for example), look at how things are placed, where, how far apart from each other. Then sketch on top of the pictures trying to find the basic shapes (circles, triangles, etc) you wouldn't believe how much that helps understand how we are built, it's actually a lot simpler than trying to decipher an anatonic drawing book, although once you get the basic shapes you should check out one of those books to try to refine your basics. THEN get into detailing stuff, like those nails, for example, at your drawing's resolution they look huge!
Once you know the basics it will be A LOT simpler to copy that into a sprite as small.

In the meantime you may want to keep things simpler for your game, shade with one color only, don't try to show every detail, just suggest it's there.

Practice, practice, practice!
Good luck!

You may find this helpful (even if the pose is really stiff):

Just for fun ;D(I'm not trying to be rude or offensive), this is what the drawing made me think:

Meh, this is my entry. Can't afford to distract me anymore or my MAGS won't be finished!

Newly ruined castle atop a mountain, hope this fits in the rules!

If you're curving the wall on the left you should do the same for the right, also, a single light in the room should have a bit more contrast. Use light to define volume, or 3dness if you like.

And as Ryan said: perspective, perspective, perspective!!

Thanks!

The hatching is an ugly habit of mine, here it was just for me know I had to make those areas pinkish when coloring, but mostly I just like to do that to make the faces less plain, ex (sorry for the bad photo):

but you're totally right, light usually reflects there.

Hi! I'm trying out some new stuff and I'd like to get a bigger view (you know, like, my friends say it's great but they know nothing! kind of stuff).

So scold me if you may!

Make an angry tune! (you know you want to...)

It may or may not have lyrics, but it must have an >:( mood.

All entries will be accepted until the 19th, winner will be announced on the 20th.

Also, GRRRR!!! >:(

Yay! Thanks!

Actually all the confusion was my fault for posting so late in the competition  :P
I'll see if I can make a new thread today, if I can't it will be up tomorrow for sure!

Awesome, I'm in.
Also, congrats on winning the last one! I feel bad for not being able to communicate, but it was practically impossible. Due to the lack of a decent internet connection out on the woods I was forced to tether my iPhone as a modem, horrible experience.
Also I'm drunk, again. Expect my entry by wednesday (will edit this same post for space's sake).

Once again, congratulations, and my most sincere apologies to everyone.

Well, it's wednesday already.
Let the voting begin!

I'll hace to vote later due to internet issues (can't see the pics)

Great job everyone!
I'm loving all entries so far, keep 'em coming!! ;D

*The Ancient part can also be the actual time period seen 2000 years in the future, or something, no creative limits there!

There's really not much I can say, I love your style and colors ;D. What I can do is give you an example on how you can fix the floor on the first one:

also, darkened it a bit to lift contrast

I really like it  ;D perhaps you could "fix" the scaling issues by making a close up BG of the pub as a separate room, to help with the interactions.
Also, for the empty space on the left you could paint some lines on the road, or make a little roundabout (sp?) visible to fill up without it taking space where you need it. But overall, I dig it.
