If you add new music files/edit your after rebuilding the VOX files it could go the wrong way.

Maybe you should make an empty file named music.vox (or whatever it needs to be called) and rebuild the vox files. Maybe they'll overwrite the empty file and solve your problem.

I thought there was a Linux version too? ???

Sorry for the confusion! :-[

Did you already try to install different versions of AGS? Maybe it's a rare bug...

Or maybe AGS doesn't support your OS. Do you have Windows, Linux, Macintosh, or something else? If you have Linux, try finding the Linux AGS version.

This might work, I usually make those silly mistakes myself, but I never find them if I haven't met them before....

Well, I assume the chewing gume will become inventory after you used the wrapped chewing gum on your character. (but of course, that's up to the game creator)

I thought my server didn't allow hotlinking? *thinks hard* >.<?

You have the liberty to do that, don't worry. This only helps me out! ;D

Thanks!

They look good, nice style. But the chewing gum is too big, IMHO. Maybe you could make it a little bit thinner.

I wanted the inventory items to be as large as 20x20 for making clicking on them not a bother.

The chewing gum looks like a brain.. ;D

More like a chewed brain! :P

Black outlines for scissors and marker need some tiny pixel work, because they make edges too blocky. Apart from that, nice work.

Don't forget the inventory items will get bigger in the game itsself. Besides, the black outlines look weird because all inventory items also have outlines in a darker colour besides the black ones.

To make C&C a lot easier I'll add an enlarged version on my site.

The Rumpus Room / Re: How did you find AGS?
Thu 16/03/2006 09:28:59
Well, I was searching the internet for a good programme to make my own games with.

After I tried GameMaker and RPG maker I found AGS 8).

I don't have to tell which I loved most. ;)

Probably this will be an eternal battle between Kingdom Hearts 1 (Playstation 2), Final Fantasy X-2 (Playstation 2) and Baten Kaitos (GamCube).

Was a katana ever an inventory item? (this is just a question, no real submission to this thread)

What about a radio-active left sock?

This trailer looks fantastic!  *rases her hands* º.;D.º

I definitely look forward to the release of this game! :D

Some of you may have noticed the thread I dedicated to my AGS school project in the Adventure related Talk and Chat board.

I *already* finsihed 5 inventory items I want to have commented.

Here's the link.

Description: (from the left to the right)
a book - chewing gume - wrapped chewing gum - scissors - water-resistant marker (or whatever it's called in English)

For the template I assume a game at 320x240 will be created (at least the backgrounds I add will be that tall).

Let me know what you think.

I already finished 5 inventory items.

Here's the link.

Was there already a bazooka? 8)

I also never saw a portable toilet... :P

As Buloght said, sometimes a player walks under a town. Did you check the baselines of the towns?

Besides of that I like this game.
#175
That's exactly what I meant, Akumayo.

I'd love to design such a site, but I won't be able to maintain it. I still have my games to work on, and as soon as I create my own modules for my own games I'll contribute them. (Not that I'm a scripting wonder or something...)

I like this sprite. I really do.

About Japanese people, they like the west. About me, I like Japan. Makes sence, doesn't it?
#177
I think an automatic kitchen cleaner was never used.
#178
Too bad, Squinky, my first game was Cirque de Zale from Kinoko!

It was a few months ago I started, but I never finished a finished AGS game!
#179
I just got the most brilliant idea: why not make a site with stuff on it for designing RPG's? Since a lot AGSers like to make those too it would be great to have a central recource site.

As for the modules, I also have suggestions:

- Ranged attacks in realtime RPG's (if possible).
- A keyboard module with functions like: X to talk to somebody, Enter to open a menu, etc.
- Sub-inventory modules

Tutorials:
- Statistics and how to use them in e.g. fights and level-ups (HP, MP, Attack, Defence, Speed, Accuracy, Evasion, etc.).
- How to make using objects inflict or prevent damage.

I'll add more later.

Advanced Technical Forum / Re: videos

Are you sure you didn't make a silly mistake like spelling or something (spaces should be checked too)?

How big are the videos? The problem could be you have a very large videofiles which are too heavy to play correct in AGS. Or maybe you have a pc which has a hard time dealing with big videos?
