Furthermore, I'd revise those eyes; either make them shine brightly, or add iris; right now she just appears blind.

Even though it's not my picture:
Mordalles: You didn't know the Night-Elves race has these kind of eyes? They're not blind, their eyes are different from ours.

Well, I think the face is a bit thin (especially around her mouth). Maybe you can give the face some thicker cheeks?

Other than that, I really love this drawing.

Rather off-topic: I really don't like Blizzard! The contest is only open to the selected countries (The Netherlands are not one of them -> I'm from there), while I wanted to participate. And (even more off-topic) they dare charge monthly fees for World of Warcraft!! >:(

Hi,

well, I didn't really get any improvement on the unistorm yet, but I did make a new enemy. This sprite-size will be the standart size from now on, zince it fits 320x240 better than the rather large unistorm and water elemental (I think I'll make those bosses in the end).

As usual, I'm asking for what is wrong/right about it.

Here it is:

I named him Bacorra, but I still need a better name... Has anyone suggestions?

EDIT: Oh, and did you notice my new enemy style?

Well, since OGG needs a special codec, so I do recommend MP3 so everyone can enjoy your game without having to download any codecs at all.

Hope this helps,

I really like this game, as well the story and the art already impressed me (and I didn't even play the game yet).

Man, I'm getting really hungry of the largest cheeseburger in the universe... :P

Keep up the good work,

Well, I didn't know yet or this would be it's idle pose or not, but it'll definitely be a frame of one of it's moves. I'll try to redraw a better idle pose for it when I have the time...

Thanks,

It surely didn't mean it's stupid, more like it was funny... And right you are about unicorns! :)

It looks like a naturally shaped horse to me.  I mean, I haven't studied the shape of a horse, but I can definately tell that the unicorn you've drawn is indeed a horse.

LOL! :D

EDIT: (This is no insult, Akumayo)

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of a problem making a heath meter in AGS. See, I need to get something like this:

I have a max. health int that indicates the current maximum of health that can be reached. The int that is displayed is named currentheath

What I want to know:
1. This bar has to indicate how much health a character has left. Is this possible
2. If the health increases, is it possible to get a different value in the same bar without any resizing?
3. Can I give the bar a colour? If so, is it possible to change it when the int reaches about 50% and at 25% of the maxhealth int?

I don't have a clue on what to do...

Thanks in advance,
~Yurina

Also, the portrait doesn't serve a function at this point. I just wanted to have a bit of a different flavor for my GUI, and I thought a portrait would be nice.

I was just wondering... But what about that blood meter you mentioned, is it going to be another GUI?

Is the portrait to the left decoration, or has it some function? I'm really curious about that...

If someone needs a big head it's me, I assure you (low self-respect... :()

I kind of agree with akumayo. A module-board would be nice since it'll make things easier. And: if you go searching it's more easy to find modules than other threads. (People don't know what to search when they want everything but modules, do they?)

But I'd make a module and plug-in board since they're almost similar.

How come? I'm really curious about that... :P

1. You've been continually supportive of the project and helped keep Binky and myself enthused to continue making our game.

2. Given all the "controversy" surrounding *that* picture (You'd think it was the cartoon of Mohammed!) it'll be interesting to see a woman's reaction to the game :)

Thanks!

Really, I didn't know I was this important... I really like the idea that I supported you so much! ^.^

I think he's a bit out of balance... If the frames that show him looking sidewards where less extreme it would do perfectly.

But besides that I like it!

I agree. Art and story design take most of the time. It depends on the game what'll take more time of those two.

Of course, the difference is when it comes to the story the most it involves is sitting there on the sofa and excitedly rambling on about ideas and have a few drinks... doing the art involves hours and hours of staring at DPaint/Photoshop :D

That depends per artist. Myself, I make less detailed sprites (tiled ones) so that makes a difference too.

I'm glad this game is not stopped, it's on my "wanted"-list of AGS games... :P

Thanks Yurina! :) And you're on my "wanted" list of Forgotten Element players :D

How come? I'm really curious about that... :P

I really like what's on the screenshots (especially the Pirates of the Carribean-like poster :P).

I will download the demo right away, I definitly like to see it!

Good luck with this game,

I would say more time, all in all, has gone into the story than anything else at present... though there's a LOT of art in the game so when it's finished it will clearly be the art that's taken most of the time :)

I really like these, though they REALLY make me want to crack out the ol' SNES games >_<

Thanks! But to be honest, I worried mostly about it being a naturally-shaped horse. This is the very first time I like the horse I've drawn.
