Why don't you write walktrough?

Mmmm, writing a walk-thru is a good idea, I'll do it over the week end.

Meanwhile if you are stuck anywhere you can always ask me here!

Mike, I'm so sorry you didn't like the interface; having to deliver the game on time -I only had 4 weeks to do the whole thing by myself-.

I'll be releasing a newer version that would deal with all the -a bit harsh comments- you made :) -I know commercial games done in two years with interfaces that were really annoying-.

On the bright side I'm glad you liked the drawings, story and plot :) -which is what I really care about most-. With interface being re-done I'm sure the over all experience will be much better :)

Still people like Vespr, DPortal13, problem had different and enjoying experience :)

Vespr, DPortal13 and problem, thanks guys for the amazing feedback :)

DPortal13, that was a creative happy end, why haven't I thought about it before ...

Vespr, next time, next tale, I'll be making it much longer, and I'll try to deal with all the suggestions and comments you had on this game! And of course I hope that there will be much more animations!

Problem, the walking animation in the next update of this game will be -hopefully- re-made, and for the next tales it's be much smoother as well. I'm glad you liked the graphics that much "The graphics are fantastic" :)

Sinitrena, did you manage to win the game?

Now the question for those who won the game!

Spoiler

Did you manage to get Ali back home? It's the happy end of the game, and I just want to know how many did actually manage to find it!

Please don't put un-tagged spoilers, to add a spoiler you have to tag it like this:

Well, actually there is a happy ending :) I just want to know if any of you could find it before posting it ...

Spoiler

Hint 1: Did you read Tom's diary -Tom is the one who made the map-!
[close]

Spoiler

Hint 2: There are some hidden hotspots! (A place which you can interact with while nothing would appear at the bottom of the screen to show it's name)-!
[close]

Spoiler

Hint3: If hints didn't help, and you really wanna see the happy end, send me a PM :)

As for the bug which -thanks God- doesn't stop you from winning the game:
Spoiler

I'll be fixing that in the next update of the game! It's matter of checking if you have written the letter before comining it with the Dragon that I seemed to miss when I beta-tested the game after working on it for 77 hours in a row!

splat44,

Well, you should deal with the Rope and Barrel first ... That's why Act I is called "Get Off My Back ...", here is how:

Spoiler

If you noticed there is a scratch in the upper metal stripe, now make sure that you are facing the door to the side -so that your hand is close to the scratch- and use the Ring with the Barrel. -try it when you are facing the left side of the screen and you'll get a message saying you can't-

After scratching the metal stripe, make sure that you are facing the broken mirror and then Interact with the rope! -Hold your mouse over the rope and then click the hand icon- ...
[close]

Besides when trying to reach something that you can't reach and the game tells you "I can't reach that!" then it's not a program error.

If you get stuck again let me know!

Hello Bee921,

You are stuck in a very early stage!

Spoiler

Have you tried getting out through the window using the hooked rope -combine the hook and the rope in the inventory screen-!

If you tried that then our hero says that he's not risking hooking the rope to the ship's side unless he KNOWS what's happining on deck! And you have a mirror, gum and a stick! Why don't you see what's happening up there by youself!
[close]

Spoiler

To see what's happining above combine the gum and mirror, then combine the sticky mirror with the stick, then using that on the window!
[close]

I hope that helped!

Hi Sinitrena,

Spoiler

There is a knot -that you can interact with- next to one of the ladder steps, which is a bit hard to spot! I hope this would shed a light! If not read below.
[close]

Spoiler

Have you tried throwing the applear on Shnigle! Won't he be looking all over for you! Which implies that he'll be going down to check on you! If you still didn't figure it out read below.
[close]

Spoiler

If you trap the ladder by removing the knot, and throw the applear afterwards Shingle would come down and check! -watch the nice little cut-scene-
[close]

Hope that helped!

Thanks for the amazing feedback! I just hope you will like the game as a whole as much as you liked the screenshots.

It's been three weeks now since I started developing this MAGS entry, it's my first time on AGS, my first time on making a game, and my first time drawing original scenes, and fully coloring and outlining a scene -first screenshot-.

I'll be posting the game in the coming 8 hours, even though I wanted to add more content but it's the one month rule ...

Klaus, if only you could grant me a one day extension I'll be grateful, if not I do respect the rules and will post what I have finished by the deadline.

Thanks for the encourging feedback, I just want to mention that this is a one month effort, since I started it to enter the MAGS - September (2004) competition.

Chicken: Thanks for the offer, I'll see about that.

Zoraphus: It's just text, because I'm bound to the one month rule of MAGS, and this leaves no time for recorded voice.

The good news is that in the next version of the game there will be recorded voice.

Updates:

- Two more screens were roughly sketched and added to the game.

And the winner is:

yeron

Congratulations, you may now start the next Puzzle Time ...

It's really hard deciding for whom to vote, but here it is ...

My vote goes to SSH.

yaron your entry is brilliant, but has lots of explosions; and so I'm voting for a bit more realistic approach -ignoring the toilet-paper-one-time-one-shot-bullet-proof-jacket-.

After 8 hours from now I'll be announcing the winner.

It's the 21st of September already and that's the voting time ...

We have 3 amazing entries made by SSH, yaron and Mephistophilis.
