Spoiler
Have you read all the Bible yet? If you do so, you'll get an extra line of dialogue with the guard....

I think that writing the translation is a good deal. I mean, where's the problem if anyone can read the posty in english, too? It's obvious that it's easier to write something in native language, and explaining some things in english is not so easy.

On the other hand, this topic was more than a month older.  ;)

What about:

-Vittorio Puccini
-Danny Palermo
-Don Nicolone
-Vincent Cicci

Not sure if they work, cause I'm just guessing how a south-italian surname can be transformed to get an American feel.

Perfectly!  ;D

I didn't draw it cause I use Internet from my university, and there they don't have Painting programs (apart from Paint, which maybe in this situation would have been enough).

That's one of the best paintovers I've ever seen! Sorry if I've no suggestions, but I had to say that.

Is he going to be an american or italian "mafioso"? This influences the name's choice.

I agree that Largop edit is he best, but still I think that the doc's picture needs a background (is it a photo made in front of a bordeaux screen?).

And another thing I noticed is that either the window has no glass at all, or it's a very huge one! In fact the glass (if ther's one) seems to be as wide as the wall (which instead is quite thin, for a building wall).
The thing is less noticeable with the curtains, but still the glass seem too wide.
I suggest including it in the wall's width (with my english I can't explain this properly).

Other things are the curtain's shading (wrong) and the lamp's glow (just remove it).

T'would not be a mistery anymore, if he told us, right Haddas?

Anyway, now that I notice, I also suggest (but probably you are planning this too) to change the graphics of the man and the car to fit the BG (or vice-versa, improving the man and car, and downgrade the quality of the BG a bit).

Uhmmm... we should really submit this idea to the forum bosses... I actually like it so much... and we should really stop dirtying poor DonTreadOnMe's thread!

Besides, such an important discussion as this, deserves an exclusive appropriate thread!  ;D

The gun and ammos seem flat, and I insist that some shading is required.
And the photo needs some background.
The desk would be better if the horizontal lines were straight.

Apart from this, not a bad BG. And the perspective is wrong, but just a bit. And so this is not disturbing at all (the little table seems lower in the distance than it should be).

QuoteHmm.. Is the third cursor mode "Break"? Because the GUI button looks like a warhammer of sorts to me

Yeah, and is the fifth one "throw cans in the air"?

Haddas' edit's the best till now.

Anyway, mafia members are not really like this. At all. But I admit that this is probably the image you get from movies and games, and so the most popular one, too.

I think the position of Haddas' edit-hands is the right one, but it would be better to draw closed fists. And he really needs a neck. Short, maybe, but he needs one. And some shading, too.

For a moment I thought this to be another of those "Bob!" games announced so often in the last month! (The ones always locked by Dart, eheheh!)

Luckily, this is a real game.

Your idea, anyway, must involve some serious improvements in the storyline and puzzles, otherwise you don't really need to upgrade your game.
But just my opinion, though.

You're right. I don't like Myst-like games either.

So, people, please don't do Myst-like games!  ;D

Seriously, just a joke Cardician. I basically agree with you.  ;)

Ever wondered why aren't there so much adventures of that kind?  ;)

Anyway haven't criticized Tom Clancy's books and genre, I just said that I don't like them, and I found them inappropriate for a pure graphic adv.

This is the most offensive thing you could tell me.
But the fact that you're from... (***looks Gilbot's profile***) Bruce Lee's country, doesn't mean you can beat me up for making you notice a little error.

:'(

P.S. Fear the city where the italian comunist party has born!  ;D

QuoteHehe it's a fun fact that the Chinese title used here for "Return of the Jedi" actually meaned "Revenge of the jedi".

Used where? And "meaned" means "meant"?  ;)

On to the topic now: Sotoeovoeon (I had to copy-paste your name to write it correctly!), changing so much the first post in your edit, made the answers seem absurd.
Anyway, from what I read now, I don't understand very much about your idea. Explain it better, and then MAYBE you'll find someone willing to help you. I say maybe cause of that big (and seeming more advanced) STAR WARS project, posted somewhere in this same forum cathegory.
I agree with Ildu that you should try to contact them and join the team, if they accept you.

Look at this post http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=16482.0

Good luck.

She's ok, now. And, anyway, the butt is, or seems, smaller now. And the legs are thinner for sure (as you removed that line of extra pixels in the front).

I can't wait to play with her (no second meaning).  ;D

You're a perfect example of how gaining experience can raise the quality of game-making.

BJ1 started at an above-average standard, that's true, but BJ4 was high above average, and this BJ5 looks even better!

I think the image was better before the big changes. Now the building seems to relay on a very small planet (since the ground is very curved).

Anyway
QuoteWhat do you mean? Or was that a joke that my weak sense of humour didn't pick up?

The second one, of course!  ;)

Luckily, in the new version, the sign has changed.  ;D
