I prefer the one, but I think that both can be used as different moments of the day (first, evening: second, morning).

Anyway, yours is a style I envy so much. Congratulations.

Can't believe you obtained so a high score, Kinoko! You're a game master! My best, at the fourth attempt is just 5680!

edit: oh, probably just a matter of exercise (and understanding how to use the random animal bonus square). 7th attempt, 13270

The other game is not as easy understandable as ZooKeeper, though I manage to obtain a 4595,01, someway.

You could also try Java. It's not so different from C, but easier, from what I know. (I know Java basics, but I've got just some infos on C).

My latin studies are almost forgotten, but maybe, and I say, MAYBE, it should be "Occulta Veritas".

I'll check it with the help of the vocabulary, and then I will correct it, if needed.

Quote(I'd like just to say something about the Latin name, can I? I'm asking first because I don't want to be seen as the boring guy... )

What do you mean by "saying something", if you don't say something then?

Anyway, Occultas Veritas means "Hidden Truth", more or less.

I hope Darth will excuse my intromission!  ;D

The .zip file for Rob Blanc 2 (downloaded from the main ags games page) is corrupted, I tried to download it several times, but this has not helped.

Anyone can try please, or gimme another mirror to download it, or even e-mail it to me?

Sure, Joseph!

Anyway Babar, if the Americans export "democracy" everywhere, why can't we Italians export Mafia in the US? I find it less people-killer, really.

Sorry for my harshness.  ;)

Anyway I read the entire post. The fact that others made the same comment, is not a good reason for not making it myself. And the problem is that the chars are drawn in 2D. No other solution to make them fit the BGs, than to make them 3D!

Joseph, why are you in the Connecticut, and why in you're profile it says Language:English, if you're Italian!?!?!

Anyway, Punkrebel, send me an e-mail when you've got something concrete in your hands. Hear you soon.

English translation:

I don't know, I find it interesting, but I believe I don't have much time to be a moderator. But if you need a hand for the translations, or any other thing, just let me know.
Take a look at my Profile, maybe.

Anyway, let me know more about the project, and I'll consider the thing with more attention.
P.S. You should really insert more infos in your Profile, cause it's the better way to know a member's nationality, for example.

Wow! It's simply....AMAZING. I mean, the fact that you thought those characters fitted in the backgrounds! In fact, they're totally out of place. This is a problem of using 3D mixed with 2D of course. I suggest switching to 3D, even for the chars, even if I prefer 2D (seen how are the 2d graphics!)

Uhmm, Buchannon, team Hasseloff, I sense a plot...

Very promising game though, and with high quality graphics.

Don't get angry with me, but I think that the gnomish char in the sketch is far, far better then his 3D counterpart! You should really do a 2D game, it would be cooler.
And to be more precise, you're so good at drawing that I don't see why you choose the 3D style.
#276
I think that every single semplification of the interaction system goes directly against the "what you want to do-what the games make you do".
The most precise is obviously the text parser, even if not all players (and not anymore, anyway) like it. The MI3 interface instead, is the most far from that one, preferring user-friendlyness to a more precise system.

Personally I think that a "what's under the cursor" gui is absolutely necessary in a cursor based game, otherwise you'll not be sure if you clicked in the right spot or not. Even adding crosshair isn't enough for me, but could be the only other solution to the problem.

Personally, I created this system:

just one cursor, left clicking to walk, right-clicking to pop up a window with the possible interactions (always the same for every hotspot, unluckily). I used the ProcessClick function to make it work properly.
This approach at least solves the problem of the screen-space occupied by the GUI, and the need to cicle every cursor with the right click.

I can also suggest (if you want to use the standard Sierra interface) to at least  enable mouse_wheel scrolling, adding the possibility to cycle it also backwards (it's a very simple script). This helps a lot.

He makes me want to punch him straight in the face! Yes, I really hate him!
If it's going to be the main char of some game, I suggest you to make him nicer, otherwise it won't be a pleasure to play with him.

Oh, and I don't like his hair, they seem just a flat surface with a texture on it.

IT's still impossible for me. Maybe it's due to restrictions on the connection, since I'm using my university's PC. But I've already downloaded about 100 games, and this is the first time I can't.

Any clue?

Anyway it says "Error while trying to retrieve the url...."

Maybe is there another place where I can download the game?
#279
The game seems undownloadable. I tried the mirror also, but gives me an "Object not found" message.

Could anyone else try, please? I'm really curious to play this game.

Even if I don't like 3d-ish chars, I must admit that those screenshot are a very good piece of art. Either you're a great artist (and so I think) or you're an incredible ripper (improbable)!

The story should be explained more extensively, though.
