Like Scrase said, it's too fast. slow it down, I also feel that there should be another frame added. At the moment near the end it feels really jerky.

And one Gabriel Knight game. ¬¬

*cough*

I would say there were 2 and a half, because 3 was mildly enjoyable while the first two were awesome in their own respective rights.

There were definitely 2 Gabriel Knights, I bought the third one and couldn't even get myself past the 15 minute point :P I might fire it up again.

I love all the crazy mag entries and I know that they were made under preconditions that no man should ever experience ;)

Anyway I think it helps the game creators be more creative and learn about the process, although I am talking form no experienced since I have never entered one. My mind goes of to vast fantasy worlds when I think of what I would create if I enter.

Anyway, when I read this mags one I was thinking of a guy washing up on a beach where there are no inhabitants, he is a ventriloquist and has his little puppet with him this as a medium to talk to all the characters in the game which turn out to be all in his head.

Anyway this made me think of creating a game in terms of a tag team combination where the main character si a ventriloquist and you can talk either using the  puppet or the man. :)

I think that is a very creative idea.

Walk Cycles are really just a couple of frames. I was also intimidated by the first one I ever made, I see however that a more realistic walk cycle is a harder one to do than a cartoonish one cause your going to have to get it really realistic.

I would suggest referencing things like PQ3 / PQ4 to look at the way they did it.

Too dark :P

I would also say too linear.

But what would be the point of prosecuting the parents? They sure as heck aren't going to leave their other kids alone ever again.

So that's saying that so long as I'm sorry and I'm full of remorse about my actions, I shouldn't be prosecuted?

I think it'd be a different tune being played out in the media if Madeliene was in the care of someone other than her parents when she disappeared.

Dude sure why not let's do that, the child was raped let's now take away her parents. :P Think of a time when your parents weren't around. Now ad a pedophile and viola your raped :P Anyway are you insane, the child is at its most vulnerable now you want to take it's parents away! Your logic makes about as much sense as sticking your and in a blender when your thirsty.

Ok so I didn't get through all 6 pages cause it's early I need coffee & I couldn't take much more of this tuamatic comments (hint to the last one I quoted)

Anyway here's my thoughts:

An eye for an eye, he raped someone so let's strap him up with one of those crazy gimps and give him the ride of his life... he killed someone, well then we kill him in exactly the same manner. Yes it's cruel but that's exactly what he was to someone he could control manipulate and use.

I feel like this regardless of the victim being a child or a adult. I believe in the death penalty for reasonable cases, all life is sacred & if you kill for anything other then survival your life is not sacred anymore, you forfeit your right to anything imo.

In my country there is no death penalty, and guess what our prisons are so full that they release criminals because there is simply nowhere to put them... well let's not waste anymore time. Execute them and there is space viola. Ok don't execute the guy that stole a candy bar seriously the point here is simply that because there is nothing bad that will happen to the criminals they will continue their crimes and it will probably escalate :P

Well I certainly agree that the amount of rooms shouldn't matter, as long as the game stays enjoyable then it's ok.

I agree that the time should be based on how long it takes the player to finish the game at first. This will obviously vary from person to person as certain players will solve puzzles faster than others etc.

The question initially popped into my head when I was playing Safe Cracker it comes in a nice little tin box and claims to be the ultimate puzzle adventure or something stupid like that. I finished that in a little over two hours. :P money well spent :( anyway Apprentice 2 took me longer to complete than this ultimate puzzle adventure :P

Ok so I have been thinking about what defines a short, medium & long game from each other. I basically think it is the time the user takes to complete the game.

So what are the time spans that rank a game into each of those categories.

1 hour or less short ?
1 hour and up medium?
2 hours or more long?

I remember playing police quest for about a week. So how does that filter into the equation ?

Just like there's only seven King's Quest games, there's only four Quest for Glory games.

Agreed
