Yaaay, stereotypes!  :D

Although this probably means I'd better get El Presidente on if I still want to win the Best Non-Adventure AGS game award this year >.>

They didn't quite like El Presidente, so I'm not talking to them anymore >.>

Still, the audio portal could come in useful.

Poor Kev.

You could also just draw the "Buttons" for start, load and quit (and probably settings?) on the background and treat them as normal hotspots - that's what I've been doing.

Congrats, Ishmael is quite a good musician!  :)

I'm thinking about it... but at the moment, that seems pretty likely.
/EDIT: And lo and behold, I did it.

Looks wonderful, but I'd suggest you to put some sort of a frame around the speech portraits (a black line of a thickness of one pixel would be enough already, but you can also make a really fleshed out wooden frame). That's pretty much all I have to crit about the graphics, though - if the rest of this game is going to be as great as the visuals, then hooray!  :)

Aw, damn!  :(

In that sense, it'd be possible yes. As long as the main character isn't a pirate.
#1010
That'll be me, then.  ;)

There's one in the AGS games database...

... and another one I've found by elaborate*, yet undescribed methods.

* not all that elaborate, to be honest.

Innovation is "AGS Innovation" this month, so non-adventures will be fine.  :)

With "trying to get" I meant something like "trying to become".

General Discussion / Re: PC Rituals

Just noticed... I've either developed another weird habit since my last post or just didn't notice it before  :P

As a mouse, I'm currently using one of these (just with red instead of blue light), and it has four additional programmable keys, which I never ever use - for making it write text I have to type in often the function is way too slow and supports too few keys, and I don't play any kind of game where these keys would come useful. So I've just decided to put the function "Left Click" on all of the keys so they can't do any damage. And appearantly, I've devised the habit of occasionally using the key my thumb is at all the time when I'm holding the right mouse in my hand about 40% of the time instead of the left click button. No idea why, but I'm sure my subconsciousness had a reason for this.

Also, Obi, "areosebyouds" is a pretty nice password  ;)

"Unusual presentation" should work, as well as a seldomly used location or even "background setting". Except for World War II and anything with pirates. These don't count.  ;)

AGS: We've got at least three Dans in our community.

In other news, welcome to the forums.

Next: Death by pun!

Well, the insanity would certainly work - that's not something you see every day (although it's been used once or twice, I think). The country could work if it's really something you don't see all that much - like Belgium, Iran or Non-Nazi-Germany  ;). I'm not all that sure about the character's home - perhaps if it's unusual (like a cardboard box in the backyard or something), but in general, that specific location wouldn't be *that* innovative.

... is that person on the very right in the second row wearing a Sabre-Toothed Lime T-Shirt?

I've been using the nickname "Akatosh" 99.99% of the time since 2003 (only exception is my E-Mail Address) whenever possible. Does that count?

That's good news  :)
