Guess I'll have to read these books again. But seriously, what will be left of these books after you take everything philosophical and religious out?

Critics' Lounge / 5 Days A Sauerkraut!

The result of boredom, writer's block and boredom... so I've drawn a bit DeFoe Quadrology (or whatever it's officially called) parody stuff: A background [= background edit] here, a few characters there. You can see them all in the title screen above. So, what do you think of them?

I'd agree on that. Also, quite a cool game! (althought these who speak German probably had a very little advantage at the final puzzle  ;))

After all, if this was just your first game, I think we quite have something to expect from you in the future!

Yesterday, I discovered an online shop where you can customize yourself a T-Shirt together. Of course, I started creating an AGS T-Shirt right away. After fiddling around with their idiotic editor for over an hour, I ended up with this:

Which doesn't look too good, in my opinion  :P. Still, I want some kind of AGS merchandise, so here is my suggestion: PLEASE register an official AGS CafePress merchandise store and make up for my lack of T-Shirt creation talent.

Seriously. It's really easy to register a store at CafePress.com, and AGS needs one. How will we be able to survive without official blue cups?

Ah, okay, thanks. Here's the articles (from GameStar 08/2004  :=)

7 Days A Skeptic
Free translation:
"Friends of classical Point-and-Click-Adventures should take a look at 7 Days a Skeptic. In a distant future, mankind just couldn't stand living on earth anymore and started to settle in space. The Mephistopheles is a science vessel, which is exploring the Caracus galaxs with a crew of six persons. After a few days, the team discovers a strange metal box floating through space. In contradiction to the Federation's orders, the captain pulls it on board for research. This is where the game starts for you: Playing as the crew's psychologist Dr. Jonathan Somerset, you investigae the strange events on board and take care of the crew. To move through the spaceship, click the respective spot with the cursor. If you come acros something interesting, you can open a menu via the right mouse button and choose several actions. The settings menu appears when you touch the screen top with your mouse.

GameStar Valuation (?): Very Good
Company: Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw
Website: http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/7days
Type: Freeware
Playable: Fully"

Apprentice 2
Too lazy to translate right now :P

(please excuse the poor quality, my scanner kinda sucks)

Well, I could upload several articles from german magazines, about Apprentice I & II and 7DAS, but you're only looking for english magazines, right?

Next: The kind of person who buys Wizard!

Does that work for speech portraits? I thought it only worked for LucasArts-style speech...
#1131
Hm... it *should* be possible to script your way to this, but it would mean a BIG amount of work, so you're probably better off with Ashen's suggestion.

Okay then...

AGS: It's like all adventures making sweet, sweet love... on your computer!

Who needs Lens Flare when you can have AGS?

Time travel to the '90s with AGS!

AGS subtitles: Cheesier Than Cheese! (yay, metahumor)

Sloganizer here says:

«AGS: Will be for you what you want it to be.»

No, seriously - personally, I think the "by Chris Jones" isn't too egoistical and dull, but if you really want to change it into something cheesy, I'd suggest things like "Quality doesn't need to be expensive" or something similiar.

Hi Matex, welcome to the forums :). Here are some answers for you:

To your first question:

You also need to check WHICH item the player used on the tree trunk, e.g.:

EDIT: the 'Conditional - If inventory item was used' Interaction Editor option
To your second question:

Erm... I don't quite understand what you mean. Do you mean you want a doorway that makes the player change the room via just walking onto it?
#1137
An easier way? There is!

more conflict ridden regions than Germany

Two words: G8 Summit  :P

But, of course, that's likely a one-time-only thing. Anyway, I wish you good luck! Also wtcq... where DID you hear that?
#1139
Yep, I got a similar e-mail, too. It seems like they want you to buy stocks of the company "harri expl inc" or something like that because they're inclined to make much money soon.

Ahem.

Personally, I'd rather rip my own skin off than joining the army, but I guess it's your decision. Also, good luck getting stationed in germany!

Also, wtcq, don't believe all the rumors you hear... I wouldn't guess THAT is what happens during basic training.
