Well, I'll post a slightly updated version today anyway, so that won't matter too much...

/EDIT: It's there: http://www.evilshare.com/64cd0dd0-43d7-102a-847b-00a0c993e9d6

And the music should be available as a seperate download for people's iPods, I know  :=

There's one in the manual. Just search for 'Text Parser'.

Everything-else-than-proudly-announcing:

Me Go Store!

This is a mixture of a stylistic experiment, a bad joke game and a "I couldn't finish the real thing in time" mags entry. Don't worry, I'll finish Cascade Failure, but it'd be impossible to make it this month.

New version here!

Now that was unexpected, wasn't it? ;)

This is a mixture of a stylistic experiment, a bad joke game and a "I couldn't finish the real thing in time" mags entry. It's yet to decide whether it'll go in Joke Games or mags games.

Yay, FSi mirror.

I think the RoN series should have a small little spin-off, like "IRoN" (IrReality on the Norm) where continuity doesn't really count and which doesn't affect the real RoN world but plays in the same universe - as with the Simpson's Treehouse of Horror stuff. Something nice to get newbies into the whole RoN thing without making them read up all kinds of stuff first. They can grow used to it first, with the IRoN games, and then slowly shift to the "real" RoN. So whaddya think?

Spoiler

Take a real good look at the log section of the file server... there should be several actions that'll catch your eye.

/EDIT: THIS forum: hide tags. The KoL forums are the ones with the spoiler tags. It's not a difficult concept, Akatosh.

If I register, I think I'll go as HK-48. We'll see.
#1231
Exactly  ;D

But try playing an adventure while wearing it, it's a completly different experience  :=
#1232
And I have a strategy game planned in mind, but unfortunately, you cannot directly create characters in AGS, so I'm having a bit of a problem there, but it should be solvable with pointers. However, it'll either be RAM-wasteriffic or overloaded with cleanup and checking routines (e.g. before declaring a new pointer, check all pointers for null value and take the one with the lowest index).
#1233
That's all because the majority of the population sends out negative Thetawaves when thinking of adventure games (and who doesn't all the day!), which makes you receive negatives feelings when playing adventure games. The inverse thing (positive Thetawaves) happens with shooters, which is why they have these inexplicable numbers of fans.

Post brought to you by Paranoid Morons Who Believe In Thetawaves (tm).

I played Noir recently with Microsoft Virtual PC (which seems to be totally free now, whee) running Windows 98, and it ran just fine. I don't think it's possible to get it to run flawlessly on XP though.

:o
* Akatosh immediatly grabs a copy of Virtual PC to run that damn game

/EDIT: It... works. :) :) :)

Ooh, I remember playing Discworld I from way, way ago... I seem to haven't stored most of my childhood memories, but I can still remember how you had to get the chest down in order to acquire the bananas... and I remember searching desperatly for a walkthrough for Disworld II because I couldn't solve the boomerang puzzle (seriously, who thought THAT up?)... and DiscNoir... *sigh*

Any ideas how to get DiscNoir running on Windows XP? Will DosBox do any good?

Global Thermonuclear War, anyone?

Hm... I haven't played a game of chess against a real opponent in years, but I beat the AI last time I tried, so I think I'll try this, too.

Mine are a horrible half-english half-german mess which I half type, half scribble down in PocketWord - Format on my PDA. They are of little or no value for anyone but me.
#1238
I have one. And it won't be a hat  ;D

And the dithering still hurts my eyes. Do I need to continue pointing that out or shall I just plain say "FOR HEAVENS SAKE, REMOVE IT!"?

...are you sure McAfee is causing this and not something like "Win Antivirus Pro" (or something like that)?
