That's nice of you, promoting _Access like that  ;)

Regarding how Cuppit is full of fighting skillfulness and skillful fightingness, I don't think Cedric would be a match for Cuppit's bruteful upbeatingness and upbeatingful bruteness  ;)

But back to the Trilby thing - depends on whether Trilby has access to his army of clone selves.

(Virtually immortal avatar) vs. (an animal I don't know what doesn't stop me from making fun of it).

Uh huh. I guess lunch today will be fried Skunk-Ape.

"People like you know how to suck out the fun of everything. I'd really like to keep this going, but with such persons everywhere, I can't really see why I should. If you need me, I'm over at fullyramblomatic.com. See you", probably?  :=

(I bet 10 bucks he decides to come back, reads this post and then writes a rant about what a moron I am)

A fair fight or what the kids call "Deathmatch" these days?

I'm merely practicing at the moment... but I'll take your advice and see what I can do. Now I just need some funny jokes...  ;)

/EDIT: Working on it. Let's do some less technical ones.
#1568
Yeah, that "Days" series was just to flat and light-hearted...  :=

But still, I'm curious why he left the forums in first place. Did they insult him or what?
#1569
And maybe they're, by using the term "visual", actually meaning "The number of weeners in this game"!  :=

/EDIT: Thank you, Pumaman.

Well, a bit of knowledge is always nice, but I thought you could understand this without... hm. So let's make one understandable for each and everyone!

Another bad and tasteless comic

Seems like I'm screwed up pretty much with the photobucket auto-resize... oh well. Hope you still can read the text.

/EDIT: Cuttin' the clutter down a bit.

Well, read the other posts in this forum. You will hardly find stuff like "omg ur lyk a n00b adn aim so 133333337!!!!!!!1!!!!one", except when we're making fun of somebody  ;D

No really, I don't mind if your english wouldn't be rated 'A freaking double plus!', but... please fix your shift, comma and dot keys  ;)

Anyway, did reading the construction plans help?

Spoiler
Did you already look at the plan? If yes, using the pickaxe on the left wall should work.

And could you please use proper english next time? Thank you.

...and what about missing 5 years of great commercial games ruined your life?

/EDIT: Hm, I just noticed something about that text. "There will maybe be ten different titles at my video games store"? Last time I checked, there were at least fifty, not including budget / Green Pepper versions of old games, with the prices ranging somewhere between 0.99â,¬ (I'm being completly serious!) to 50â,¬.

Shall I explain the completly different kind of concept TurtleQuest would have had if I did it?

No, really, these rules do leave a spot for creativity... but only if you are way too creative, anyway. Just as with a Sprite Jam with a "clearly recognisable" outline.
#1575
Kahuzah! (not being completly serious...)

As everybody and their little sister seem to run a webcomic nowadays, I thought "Hey! Why not you?" and made something up. I posted it in the Critics Lounge because... well, I'm looking for C&C! (some of the graphics are based off Tron 2.0)

Featuring experimental Sierra-Style speech. Let's hope it isn't too difficult to read...

System Security
How it would be like if the programs freed themselves from the slavery, threw out the tyrannic users and formed a society!

Starring:

Several "serious" programs

FireWall.exe

Bytes of different colors

The mysterious and cruel KIA (Kernel Intelligence Agency) Agents

...and some more I haven't drawn yet...

Way, way more hippy freeware programs

A bot net controller

...and some more I haven't drawn yet...

And here are the actual comics!

First one:
Bad and tastless comic

I'm pretty sure he wanted to write "click" instead of "clock", as that would at least make sense and the "o" is very close to the "i" and you could accidently type "o" instead of "i" when you're in a hurry. If I'm right with that, you're asking for a general tutorial how to make dialogs and should read the manual (Contents -> Tutorial -> Setting up the game -> Conversations).
#1578
Well, I accidently stumbled over it while browsing Home of the Underdogs, and they either didn't put it there sooner or I just didn't notice it until yesterday. But it eventually reached the AGS forums, and that's what counts, isn't it?

* Akatosh brutally kicks the thread back to topic

TurtleQuest - a planned MAGS January entry, but I suddenly came to my mind when I realized I had about 30 minutes to do this game... this is how far I got:

I think you need better humour, since they're not very funny really... I mean, why would the microsoft support guy scream about his eyes when you phoned him up about receiving a BSOD? And also I have never, ever got a BSOD since updating from Windows 98, so this joke is unbelievably outdated...

There must be something I did wrong. Win XP produces less BSOD, yes, but they still show up quite frequently. And the Microsoft guy says "Welcome to the building", so I guess the yellow blob didn't phone him. And I guess the "my eyes"-stuff refers to the yellow blob taking them out of the Microsoft guy's head (or my imagination is just wicked).

I, for one, thougt the fire/acid comic was funnier, though.
