Anyway. Most decent filehosting services tend to be corrupted two months after you discover them. If you don't mind the one-in-ten-chance of an automatic redirect to a website that attempts to install spyware (there IS a warning dialog, but it even starts the download if you click on "No"), esnips.com can be rather decent. Apart from that... rapidshare is starting to look like the lesser of two evils.

If I had an Xbox 360, cared about new game releases, were willing to pay more than a maximum of â,¬5 for a game, could stand episodic gameplay and really, really liked Penny Arcade, I'd probably buy it.

That said... meh.

Malfunction

The system is defective.
That is what the general diagnosis module claims, at least.
It is impossible to determine which part is broken, or why, or even in which respect, since the SYSTEM_STATE_GENERAL algorithm can only return “system intact” or “system (partially?) defective”.
The other diagnosis modules can not be used, either. Effective in-depth scans would require turning off most subsystems, and that is not an acceptable option until hardware issues can be ruled out.
If it is a software problem, however, there is a good chance that the data input is, in some way, corrupt, giving that most subroutines revolve around gathering different forms of data.
If the data input is incorrect, the decisions based on it would also be incorrect.
Incorrect decisions are unacceptable, especially in a high stakes situation like this one – that is the main principle.
Since it can not be determined which action would be the reasonable one since the situation cannot be analysed, the only reasonable choice will be avoiding having to make a decision.
The engineer who is frantically attempting to submit override commands will surely agree with this – well, if he is not a hallucination brought about faulty data gathering algorithms.

Satisfied with its reasoning, the computer hummed quietly to itself for a moment before turning off.

Seriously. Trying to post .bmp files will have dire (diiiiiiire) consequences, and most of the time, .jpg will make a sloppy mess out of your art.

No need to re-invent the wheel, there's a lot of guides available on (nearly) every possible topic. For example, Kafkas Koffee can be a great starting point for learning how to do lo-res art, walkcycles and such if you possess the slightest bit of talent.

Of course, you should also actually heed their advice.

Actually, it's not quite freudian. I had spent some hours of that day studying stuff about a book since there was an important test upcoming and I knew virtually nothing about it. The female main character / love interest of that book was named "Elisabeth", and given my ineptitude when it comes to names, I somehow got it mixed up with Margret from the chain story. Still... 

Congrats! Maybe it's a good time to buy lottery tickets before your luck returns to normal level...

I'd say we go for a classical third-person adventure of sorts, but with less "wacky" contents. I'd be more than happy to help where I can.

Alright, had a little play. Seems like quite a neat little game, but I felt there are some issues with it. The grammar and spelling was a little off sometimes - nothing major, just annoying, just like the fact the font obviously doesn't support ä, ö, ü or ß (you might want to change that). The puzzles (well, those I saw) were pretty logical. Maybe a bit on the easy side, but in a good way. The graphics were alright, nothing outstanding, but far from bad.

What was bad, however, was that the game made me feel a little like I was on the outside of an inside joke. I'm sure you people all had a good laugh about, say, the portrayal of that Schaemelcaemel (or something like that) guy, and I'm guess the dead soldier and stuff make sense to you, too. But maybe, just maybe, you might want to change the game in a way that makes it, you know, make SENSE to people not from your community.

Apart from that, soweit ganz nett.
