Miez- Absolutely love the monsters you drew.  Roclops is definetely on the ARMG (Ancient Ruins Monster Group) .  As for the Treasurebeetle, it will fit into the desert monsters.  And the Locusor, it can be a field monster.

Haddas- ...... um..... no thanks??.......that kind of monster wouldn't really be........FABULOUS!!!!.........I don't think.......

Okay, any more entries????

Haddas:  I see Saff as an excellent field monster for the character to face after he gets pretty far in the game.  Just so you know, Saff will have a high striking power (because of it's punch and weight) And a high Enemy Power Decrease (because of it's poison) ....  These two things are a part of the battle system.   Btw- Great Monster

Minimi:  I think that Brainator has the potential to be part of the Ancient Ruins Monsters Group (ARMG).  (In the game, after the main enemy is defeated, the character can search ancient ruins that contain deadly monsters, aka the ARMG).  Brainator will have a high Recovery (because of it's intellegence) and a high Power Increase (because of it's ability to focus) ... These two things are a part of the battle system...  Btw- Love the creapy eyes on Brainator!!!

rodekill:  Thanks for the monster, I think I will cast Porg as an evil cave creature....

Evil: I can't see your Monster, or your avatar  :P so mabye upload at a different place, or if you have to just send your picture to akumayo@hotmail.com  k??

Everyone Else: C'mon, enter your monster!!!

Correct, It is a tile-based, turn-based RPG.  A front view is what I'm looking for, though a slightly turned or back view is fine if your monster has issues  :P  ;D

I'm going to ignore what Os Ultimo said for the time being....

It is an RPG, based in a small town community that stretches over about 100 miles....  Any type of monster is welcome, dragons, dogs, unicorns, cats, birds, gryphons, trolls, and just about anything else.  So long as you take into mind that the Monsters cannot talk and that there are excess numbers of any particular monster, i.e. - there are a never ending amount of each monster....  oh yeah one last thing, if anyone wants, they can include a bio on the monster they create including weight, height, eating habits, interesting facts, etc etc.

Sounds good, I will try it, if it works, good, if not....hello character number 131

I have made a battle system, (which works 8) ) and am in need of Monster's for the character to fight.  I have worked my imagination dry.  I would love it if some of you would submit your monster's to me.  You will recieve full credit for the monster.  Make sure you do the following

(required) - Draw a monster of your choosing (or make one up)
(required) - Make sure it is a 90x90 sprite
(optional) - Include your monster's name UNDER THE PICTURE, NOT IN IT
(required) - Include (in your post) whether you wish to be recognized in the credits or remain anonymous.

please submit!!!

(multiple submissions allowed)

nununununoooo, I should have been more clear.  the room you are transported to is a battle room(battle system complete 8) ) and I need the character to be able to return to his previous room and coordinates after the battle.  Anyways, the previous room is solved, but I still need to know how to do the previous coordinates.

PS- if this is to hard, or impossible, please note that I can easily get around this by changing the player character to a new character in the battle room, but I would rather do the previous thing, because (if the previouse thing is easy) then I don't have to make another character.  (My game should soon border 130 characters.........)

I need a code that will allow me to do the following function.

Main character steps on hotspot 1, the hotspot sends the character to another room.  Shortly afterwards, the character needs to be returned to his previous room at his previous coodinates.  This is because the room he is transported to can be accesed anywhere in the world.  I need to know some way in which the character can go to previous room, at previous coordinates.

I have thought of two ways, both need work...

1.  Store roomnumber as a GlobalInt (which I don't know how to do) and store x and y coordinates as globalInt's (which I don't know how to do) then use the GetGlobalInt function to return the character to his proper place...

2.  Mabye there is an/some easy function/functions that could acclomplish this task???

help....

Thanks for the input so far, but I still need any pointers you can give for making it look better.  And I really need to decide which one, if any, I should use as the battle view.  Any suggestions are highly appreciated.  (not that I dislike being complimented ;) )

Thoughts...???

Actually I have tried this guy two different ways, as far as colouring, and this was the best one, thanks for all your help guys, I think I  will make him bend his arms in at the elbow as he walks and mabye make his thighs stay the same size as his lower leg bends back and upwards behind him...  (PS- these sprites are made for an RPG, I even have the battle system complete!)
#1017
Thanks for putting that together pixelcat, and yes, I did do this in MS-Paint (aka MS-Pain) but it is a GIF, not a JPEG, to save file space.  So, I was thinking, (which is dangerous for me) and he does look like he is made of paper, do you think I should make the whole game in this style, like it is all made of paper??? (It would bring new meaning to the phrase, 2D adventure....)
#1018
I like the edit, though it is a bit lighter coloured.  I don't really think he needs a belt bukle, but I do like his arms and legs better.  More C&C from others still wanted!!!
And if anyone can animate this guy I woulld appreciate it.
#1019
Okay, I took in your head and outline suggestions, here is the result:

PS- When I get around to animating him, I will try bending the knees and elbows,

More C&C on either picture is wanted!
#1020
Okay, I need some serious C&C on this Main Character.  I don't have a program that can animate him, but I do have his current spritesheet...

I think his arms look like they are made of paper, and his legs don't quite look right either.  Any suggestions on how to fix these and others flaws???

PS- I would highly appreciate it if someone could put these into an animation, but no one has to  :-[

-many thanks in advance
