I think the icons serve just fine...

When using Global Ints as stats in an RPG game, say that HERO's attack power is 40 SetGlobalInt(2,40);
And the MONSTER's h.p. is 50 SetGlobalInt(23,50);
How do I make HERO's attack power be minused from MONSTER's h.p.?

You say you are working on a Pokemon style game eh?
How exactly do you script the attacks? Or do you simply compare the monsters HP, Defense, Attack, etc. and decide the winner???  I ask only because I would like to make a similar game and cannot figure it all out!  Why is this so time consuming!!!

I to had this very same problem and people kept telling me "It plays Music 0 on room load and stuff like that!"  But I know what your REALLY asking...  You need to save your music and sound effects files in the Compiled folder of your game!!!  I cannot believe the manual doesn't tell you that! But it DOESN'T !!!

So, save your music and sound effects in the Compiled folder okay...
Label them MUSIC1, MUSIC2, SOUND1, etc.

I like it, especially the ship!!!  It reminds me of... Star Trek, am I spelling that right, because I don't exactly watch it much, I can't really say anything about the characters (in the assumption that they are for the Star Strek.)  Anyways, beautiful ship (are those Bullet Bills from Super Mario on the side???) and excellent characters, just change up the girl...  I don't know what I don't like about her, I just don't!

I can't see any of the nice neat buttons that are shown on the BBCode and smileys reference page.  I can add smileys by clicking them, but there are no buttons, I am sad, do I need a new cookie mabye???

I have noticed some random errors as well (though not this one) like sometimes, while adding script to a function, when I save, I get a nested functions not supported error, but if I delete the function, and rewrite the same script, it works!

Though >249 may work, it is much more proper and legible to write >= 250, this way the same amount of money will always be recognized, ommiting confusion.

Nununununo, only using greater than causes the game to think you need a value of "money" that is more than or greater than  250.  So you need to use >=

Thanks for the replies, when (if) you beat the 1-5 floors or the Secret Level, please tell me!  I want to know who is able to beat it!  I am, but I made it so I know exactly where everything is and goes...  Please tell me at least what level you can get to, and (using spoilers) mabye tell me your favorite Password to use!!!

I have thought about doing this before and gone so far as to plan some scripts, but alas!Ã,  It is so complecated that a battle system for one room could take up to a month to build!Ã,  The only thing I really found out was that (a) making offense, defense, HP, and expirience requires so much scripting it will make you want to throw up and (b) all of the movement, animations, and weapons, items, will make you want to shoot yourself with a rifle!!!

sorry, but I think you need to get a new engine, or make one h+!l of a plugin!!!

You need to use >= instead of just greater than, otherwise if you have exactly 250, you can't purchase the item, unless of course they need one more dollar for tax wait, was that funny

This game is pretty sweet, it has a full soundtrack now.  The game doesn't close if you lose.  When you lose you are taken back to the menu.  Flying Farts, Slippery Snakes, Bustling Bushes, Stretching Chains, Ghastly Ghosts, all of these will try to stop you from retrieving all of the Passwords, can you survive?  Think your up for the challenge?!  Then get you cocky little behind over to:

I use MIDI's in The Dungeon and they work fine, do you have the latest free AGS version???  And are you files named MUSIC1, MUSIC2, etc. (It is neccesarry to capitalize MUSIC)  Otherwise, I don't know what's wrong!!!??!?!

I had the same problem after McAfee, you have to set your cookie protection to the lowest possible on your internet settings (not part of McAfee) then, after you have logged in "always" and recieved the AGS cookie, set your cookie protection back to normal and delete all cookies exept the AGS one.  Long, exhausting, yes, but it worked for me!!!

I made another version where you don't exit but return to the title, but I haven't bothered to update it yet
