Well, I got everyones feedback about the first game, and programed Coin Rush 2.  Here are the changes
>New room of play
>Only two "Baddies"
>"Baddie" effectors that slow down or speed up the "Baddies"
>Not as challenging, but more fun than Coin Rush 1

hello all, I have created my first game and decided that this is the type of game i will always make.  Currently, there is only one level of play, in later versions, i will make more.  Here is how the game is:

<You are a brown monster and must collect 6 coins before you are destroyed by "Baddies".
<Nothing happens when you collect all of the coins, exept that you know you have won.
<Includes Instructions and Credits pages.

Hey Guys, what freeware program do you use to put animation together without using AGS.  Like when you have just animated pictures, what program do you use to put them together???  ???

Yes, the song is legal as long as who ever gets it doesn't post it on the Internet.  I probably should have posted this in the other forum, forgive me, but i thought it should go here since this is the animation ;)

you don't have to use regions!!!
after you make the hotspot, go to its interactions.
Select "player walks over hotspot" (or something like that) then select display Message.

I am not sure, but i think in the manual it says that rooms above 1000 pixel revolutions were unstable, unsupported, and unpredictable.

One of my characters was really huge when i made him to.  Here is what i did, you may want to.  Draw your background really big, like 700x700.  Then (if you can) run your game as a DOS target.  Mabye, your guy won't look so huge if the screen+baground are huge.  

P.S. If this dosn't work, then you have my deepest sympathy  :'(

Jeez your right, that thing comes up in every game, that's not cool.  But, does it really matter, or are we just being irritated about it... ;)

Draw your picture in paint, save it as a .bmp
Now go to your sprite manager and right click a white area in it. Select Import New Sprite.  A window will come up, click Import From File. Go to your picture (name).bmp and open it.  You should be taken back to the window, click Import Whole Sprite and it will appear in your Sprite Manager.

When you make your object, there should be a button that says something about changing the objects sprite.  Click that button and select the sprite you imported and the object will turn into it.

Note: In paint, if you don't want your picture to be square, there should be an extremely hot pink color in the default color box, color your background this color and it will disapear in the game, removing the "Box" effect.  (This only works if you are using paint).

Say i want to make a character that transforms when an inventory item is used on it.  Easy, right, wrong, i want there to be three different things to use on it, the player chooses which one.  But, Whenever I use child actions: Use Inventory item; if inventory item was used, item 01, change player view 01, if inventory item was used, item 02, change player view 02, if inventory item was used 03, change player view 03.      It makes it so that i can only use item 01.  How do i make it so that each one will turn the player into a different thing ???

Is it possible to import an animating picture into the AGS sprite manager and use it in the game, or will the picture just not move ???

 How do you download Music and Sound into your game, i have tried downloading the music file into my game file but AGS cannot read it.   ???  It is making me both mad  >:( and depressed  :'(  please let me know how to download music/sound.

     Okay, i feel stupid asking  :-[ but do you have to have a sound card to put sound effects and music in your game??? ???
