I definately agree, especially with the SetMusicMasterDigitalVolume(x);

I think that's a really good idea, it'd be just like the person changing their speaker volume!  Excellent!  I would like to have something like that anyway, and I rarely use music.

Thanks Jane, and glad you could work out the "crash".Ã,  I will be adding a "You Lose" screen in the final version.Ã,  Aside from that, does anyone have any more suggestions?

A little too 70's for me, but I like the sound itself (I assume that the 70's, hang out style is intended for this game?)

OKAY!  Finished.

Save/Load now available!!!!

Using it is a bit tricky, the README gives an overview.

Is what I said.  ::)

Hey!  MSPaint can crank out some really awesome pictures if yous spend time with them!!!  They may look retro, but hand drawn gradients are much more appealing in the end!

(and besides, MSPaint is free)

Just a suggestion, I think the promanade itself would look cooler with a few lines to show bricks, or tiles, or whatever it's made of.  Other than that, looks good, touch up the gradients a little and it'll be truly fantastical.

Cool looking, his upward (away from camera) animation looks a little weird though.  I could be wrong, but when it plays out in aa real animation file I think his legs will appear to sway, like he's drunk or something.

I could be wrong (and I usually am), but I don't think there's a way to download it here...

Ya know, that could be it...(I started to make a good descision about that post, but my stupid got in the way)

Still troubling me though, please let me know as soon as it happens, I haven't found any crashes in my beta-testing, so this is new ground for me.

Once upon a time there was a very stupid gameboy game called...dare I say it.... Pokemon!!!!  BUM BUM BUM!!!

I played it once...only once...and then it burned...

What this has to do with my name...you will soon learn.
You see, your character must have a name..So I went in a pattern, starting with the letter "A", I went down one, right one, and came to "K".  I continued this pattern to the bottom of the screen, and then went back up.  The name appeared:
AKUYQLE
Now for the evolution of AKUMYQLE
AKUYQLE (Pokemon)
AKUMULE (Old Runescape)
AKUMAYA (New Runescape)
AKUMAYO (AGS)

There you have it...

Crashed!?!?  Where did it crash?!  Why?!  Details please!  I must fix it!

And um...Sorry about the crash...
#838
Cool looking game, what'd you use to build the backgrounds?  Doesn't look like MSPaint to me...
Looking forward to this one's completion (wondering about the inventory items though, they look...bland, next to the backgrounds, and the cook too, both lack a little in the detail you show in the other areas)

I've got a drunken character named Jimbo you could use.....but I don't really think he'd fit in.  You could easily cast him as a hobo.  (He's drawn for 620x400, so he'll need to be shrunken a little)
