Oh, we keep the tip.
It's the prepuce that we do away with.
Especially when it comes to... Tablet pens. o_O

No, I dropped it in my room.
But considering the fact that I've already lost about 5 of those here, I doubt I'm going to find it.
It's a tiny, stealthy little thing.
Ask most tablet owners, those things are REALLY hard to find if you lose them. :P

Edit:
Jeez. Found it.
Please excuse this "posted-in-a-fit-of-hysteria" thread.
After having lost all of my "spare" tips in the same fashion (tip falls off, replace tip, repeat ad nauseam), I got quite worried.

Why do they make it so the tips can come out, anyway?
I've never witnessed any wear, and most PDA stylus...es(?) are used in practically the same way and don't have tips that fall off, at least not THIS easily.

I thought about glueing(sp) it in, but since the pressure sensitivity is in the pen, that would probably mess things up even more.

I have just lost my last tablet pen-tip.
Sadly, the last thing I drew with it was this pathetic MS Paint picture.
My chances of finding it are very slim, and there is no where I could buy replacement tips, nor can I afford a new tablet.

Just wanted to vent a little. :(

Just kidding... ;D
My point is that it looks like it takes a lot of innate artistic ability to produce your backgrounds.
Which you don't get from a tutorial.

I disagree.
And then I agree.

You see, I disagree with this "innate artistic ability" thing.
I've seen plenty of people who actually drew quite horribly practice for a year and then make marvellous art.
However, you're not going to get that from a tutorial.
Practice a lot. And practice right.
Draw from life/nature/pictures/whatever. Learn to draw what you actually see, not what you think you see, ie. don't draw a leaf, for example, draw curves and shapes that make up the leaf.
Anywho.
Enough babbling!

This game looks great, Bernie.
I really hope you finish this one. :)

I could always upload the full log, if you want.  ;)

An interested person is me!
And I bet Eggie'll like the idea, too.

Here's my take on the eye, as it is really the only thing that bothers me about your drawing.

Also added a tiny diagram to show how the eyelids wrap around the eye from different angles, might be helpful. :)

Edit: Modified with somewhat less-evil-looking eye... I just think the original eye gives her a sort of alien look, no offense, of course.

I... Um...
I, well...
No.
But I will now!
(Still a short game from a not-a-"get-every-possible-thing-in-the-game"-gamer perspective).
#292
First, a game that takes 6 hours to complete is short.
Second, it took me much less than that.
But hey, it's an incredible game anyway.
#293
YES.
Doukutsu Monogatari is just... amazing.
A bit short, but oh-so-great.
I must play it again some time soon.

It's a really nice piece overall. :)
(And the hair on the other side looks fine to me).
Two crits, though:
The ear is set a bit too high up, should be from about the top of the eyes to the bottom of the nose.
Also, the shape of the eye is... Weird. Looks like it's been rotated 90°.
Awesome line work, btw. :)

Critics' Lounge / Re: Scanned and colored try

Here's my tip.
Try and stay away from the dodge/burn tools... Hand picked shades will always... ALWAYS look better...
Also, when you shade, try and shade along the shape of the object.
Here's a quick and crappy paintover...

#296
I personally think the graphics are quite bad.
The characters are nice, but the backgrounds... Yeesh.
But of course, graphics don't make the game, so I shall download it now to see if it's worth the eye pain. :P

Here's the log of the award ceremony, for those unfortunate souls who missed it:

Formatted log, edited out people joining/leaving/renaming and basically disturbing the peace. Also edited out the cheering.

Raw log, same thing, but with all the chaos and people making fools of themselves for 30 seconds.

Enjoy! :)

Those who've read the book/comic or seen/heard the play/heard the play/hatever is shaking their heads in agony...

It's actually quite the opposite, from what I've seen.
Those who've read the comics like the movie, those who haven't, don't.

It's a direct adaptation of the comics...
A few examples: http://www.filmrot.com/images/sincity-comparisons/sincity.html

It's the comics with bad acting. :P

Broken Heart: Damage to the player. There is a relationship between Health and Damage (Damage lowers your Max Health level)
