Just a small design kink that's been irking me a bit - this kind of suit would not have a belt as it is usually (well. always) a one-piece suit. What would the belt be holding up, exactly?

Let's take Cave Story for another example. Most of the time you try to move yourself into a proper direction, just to shoot the same type of enemy over and over again. The player knows how to kill these, it's not hard, it's just annoying. With free aiming, it would have been a lot more fun, since it's no real challange in either ways.

Free aiming in a SNES-type shooter? Way to ruin the fun. I'm good with the 6-way shooting mechanisms of games such as Metal Slug. Adding a mouse to a 2D shooter ruins the fun for me. I hated Abuse. :P

The music sounds familiar. Is it 65daysofstatic? ;)
Anyway good job, that is a sweet looking trailer.

Sounds like Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen to me.

Glad you enjoy, I'll... play a less mediocre game. :D

Are you serious? It's the most terrible, most linear Final Fantasy yet.
Nothing but a series of dungeons (well, tunnels more like) with no character interaction, no exploration, no NOTHING.
The visuals are impressive, the cutscenes are indeed very easy on the eyes but there is virtually no gameplay aside from "walk forwards, battle, watch cutscene, repeat", the story's the same jumbled mess as usual... I did not enjoy this game one bit. Scanning planets in Mass Effect 2 is more fun than this. :P

Quick paintover

However, seriously: this tutorial seems fairly decent for what you are trying to do.

Have you tried running them in compatibility mode?
I've installed Red Alert on my netbook, applied the patch and it still refused to work until I put it in compatibility mode for Win 95.
Now it works like a charm!

Or chatzilla, or XChat... there's plenty of free IRC clients to go around.

Toon Boom is nice if you want to vector stuff.
For bitmap animation - TVpaint.

I went hiking with some friends and took pictures and things.

I did not take this one but I am on the left.

Pictures I took are here. Captions and stuff are in Hebrew, but you'll survive.

Hello

Edit: Oh, uh. Since I was supposed to describe the feeling I tried to convey:
Spoiler
The tripped-out conspiracy feeling one gets while reading the Illuminatus! trilogy, I guess
