QuoteTo Felipe (didn't see your post earlier): No.
Er..
With 'No' you meant you don't see "armed men on the streets EVERYDAY" or that you don't see them AT ALL?

Sorry about that.
*I* Do see armed men every day (Israeli soldiers).  I just don't see them fighting.
Most of the fighting happens in the Palestinian territories or the Jewish settlements near them, as far as I know.

I don't have any critics at all, except the background looked a teeny bit blurry.

And another thing, I thought the latest  pic you posted looked familiar...
And THEN I thought: Pixellation forums... Right?

Good stuff, man.

Did you notice how the guy freaks out when you tell him you need a pin head? Maybe there's some sort of misunderstading. Maybe you should word it differently! *hint hint*

Fun facts:
- No, Not everyone in Israel is religious.
- Yes, both the financial situation and the safety situation are terrible. It is a common joke to say "...it's because of the situation." about something that goes wrong, at least that's how it seems to me.. I've pretty much lost interest in listening to the news. :P
- Most present israeli music (eastern music it's also called) is, in my opinion, bad, to say the least, but for some reason a lot of people here like it. If I had to listen to israeli music, I'd prefer older music, it was much better IMO.
- As far as I know (as I said, I don't follow news with too much care) there hasn't been a terrorist act in some time, but I still can't say our country is safe.
- Here too almost everyone owns a cellular phone, even kids at the age of 8. I've had one since I was 12.
- Also, there've been a lot of talks about drugs in our school lately, so I'm guessing that aspect isn't in a good state either.

- We don't ride camels*
- We don't get shot/blown up/kidnapped every time we go out of the house.

EDIT:
To Felipe (didn't see your post earlier): No.

*...all of the time.

From Autumn To Ashes, After Dinner Payback
Emocore, again. Heavy and screamy yet still unmistakably emocore.

Have you listened to From Autumn To Ashes - Short Stories With Tragic Endings ?

It is oh-so-much better IMO.

Looks real nice!

One crit: you can try making the eyeball a bit more glossy, maybe raise the spacularity or something, it just looks a bit too dry to be an eye.

And a question, did you read this tutorial?
If you didn't, you should, it's great.
Loads of other tutorials on that site as well.

If you decide to use it, check Blitz Coder for tutorials.

I got the 'morally deficient' one.
Wonder why not 'from the middle east'.

Blargh.
I have decided to put this little piece on hold for a while...
I think I should focus on figure drawings more than paintings at the moment, because... Well, I draw crappy figures.
Bah.

Wow Pete, this is great!
A reflection in the water would be a nice addition, and the island could use more shading.
Other than that, teh awesomity, man.

Ah, the reason to that might be that I haven't added the second ear yet, so it looks like a 3/4 view.
Must... add... ear.

Thank you for the kind comments :)

YakSpit: I didn't use any reference... I... I don't know why, but using reference only makes me more confused...
I didn't really understand what you meant in #2, can you explain?

Guybrush Peepwood: Yep, he is supposed to be kind of tanned, and I have darkened the shadows a bit in a more up-to-date version of the painting (I haven't posted it yet because there is not much progress yet).

I also fixed a slight anatomical problem regarding the position of the ears, thanks to DodgeR for spotting it.

Oh, and I _will_ update as I go, don't worry! :)

This is my first digital painting that's worth posting ANYWHERE.
I'm a total beginner at this so crits are more than welcome :D
I have absolutely no idea on how to paint the eyes, ears and hair, so tips on that will be greatly appreciated  :)

Gear used: OpenCanvas3Plus and a tablet.
