I prove to do it but the dialogs don't shows. (And the background image are large as the width of the screen. Is for that I'm Seeking help; I can't make this work.

Sure there isn't anything you forgot to the GUI configuration?

EDIT: The reason I can see the dialogs (or the GUI) I think is the background image of the normal message gui over the dialog options gui.

How I can fix this?

Well, Testing in my nearly finished game, I tried to use a GUI for dialog options, and then I found that I have no idea or how to make working a GUI for dialog options, but WORST than that, I can fix the game to his anterior state; If I Put 0 in "use gui for dialog options", The dialog options don't works as before.

I was been searching in the forum and the help file and founds nothing about what to make this propierty to work (or go back to the state without GUI for dialog options).

What type of GUI is, GUI, or Text Window GUI? In the any of the two cases, How I have to configure it?

Always Don't work for me no more, Showing graphic errors but not the dialog options.

I need to fix this to continue major part of my work, please, give me a little help.

S, your bg version looks awesome, The shadows the most.

I'm waiting to finish painting all the room to take in the shadows, What you utilize to the shadows? Simply Handdraw with Opaque black with low hardness?

In any case I let stay the high ceiling, With this low ceiling seems to tiny and dark.

And the mirror needs to be Ok, It's the Gran Admiral fleet Bath! xD

The simplistic texture of the carpet looks great, but today i'm not decided what to do with the carpet. Maybe some freak-draw in it? The symbol of the fleet? The flag of the Terrestrial Confedereation? A simple texture like yours? (what's so fine!)

And, Ryan, Yes, I fixed now the carpet perspective, thanks for the advice ;)

SW is a great theme to inspiration and making NEW things, as I as Star Wars d20 master, with access to the glorius Wookiepedia I am.

Seems like you have done a LOOOT of graphics now.

But It's seems to me like you wan to redone the KOTOR (Knighs of the Old Republic) But with AGS.

I only give you a suggestion; Make your own game. Make your one original planets. Don't abuse of the classic thematic and planets of Star Wars Movies.

And congratulations, you seem to been working harder ;)

I tried to play a second time, and well, with the Research of Spies know I see the enemy bases and is an advance. The case theres is NO help of anytype, a simply namepopup of the button is no help. The player need to realize the use of everything by his way,

And the "all money" cheat isn't useful to understand how the final game works, how you need to administrate the upgrades, (global science and local administration) in way to can buy a decent army. The "all money" cheat makes difficult to understand the techdemo.

Talking about another things... Have you thought in use a Freeware resource as the Maps Tilesets of the Rpgmaker? (Included the last ones, Rpgmaker XP or better). Are a free tilesets to use to make good maps can you help a lot, maybe not to the final version but yes to make good graphics before a total personal release.

Finally, I find that the Techdemo have no objective. I don't know how could be the final game, the game options, and that. but in the tech demo is a question of map and inspiration.

Is a unreal map (that can better a lot with the rpgmaker tileset, as an example) with citys all around the world will get no sense.

If I play the game, And I see a "reproduction" of Germany, and the cities are real, I can get the personally objective to Conquer all Germany, and the game gets a lot of interest. But Conquer a strange map in a strange world with Philadelphia and Minsk at 200 km/h, its not inspiring. Fantastic maps is too useful, but in some way it has sense. The actual map isn't have sense.

I don't know if I'm wrong with that cause is only a techdemo, but I speak what I see in the technical demo.

You may thing... "It's a techdemo about the Game System". Yes, Is it. But with no objective, all money cheat... I can't talk about the game system. I need to see a good game with objective and some challenge to talk about if the interface, the game system, is good or not.



Well, When I say that isn't a RTS, more a wargame of administration,of course Isn't and adventure xD I din't say any of that.
The thing is that you announce the game as a RTS, and the original idea what we have as a RTS is Starcraft. This game is more like a conceptual Panzer General War map in real time xD

You gonna make or pretend to do ilumination or you are going to let's stay just this?

Firstly, there's a lot of space empty in front of the desk. Have you thinked in put the desk in the right wall instead of the uo wall? Then maybe you can put the couch in the north wall and get better... Maybe with a carpeta in front.

But Unless you would to do a very simplistic graphics, Put a little of texture-Ilumination.

MMM, When I played I thougth that the Example map is so limited to understand the game withouth playing a lot of boring time Assaulting all the map to finally get in combat.

In any case, more than RTS, is militar administration wargame, in real time, but, name it RTS...I don't know.

In any case, with the things of the game I see, To be interesting maybe needs more interesting graphics.

Well, I decided so far for the metalic pieces wall, I do the left wall. with some/a lot of oxyde ('cause humidity of the admiral uncontrolled pleasures).

What do you think? Finish the job with that idea?

And, What do you thing about the primary color of the carpet? Blue? Green? Red?

Yes, in Star Trek was no sigth of the toilet xD The bath (some "erotic" scenes from our favourit counceller) yes, but the toilet no xD

Easily you can make this cutscenes changing objects in scene (that occups all the screen) and animating the object when you want the character talks. When you would to change to another character, changes the object, and so...

Its basic programation to turn on/off objects, do the animations, Walk orders.. etc ;)

Well

Anyway I'm making everything in my actual game (from story to animations, with respectable chars and bgs...) I'm only really good in some things, and I offer my services at that:

STORY DESIGN:

As a great reader of hundreds of fantasy and sci-fi books, as ten-year Master of games like D&D, the games of World of Darkness, Star Wars, and anothers, as game inventor (I made my own rulebooks and house tabletop games), and a lot of mindnumbling things, I was good writing thousand years background history for games, plot designs, puzzle design, Character design, and so. But I'm only good Writing in Spanish. In english I'm a little limitated. For some things can be fine, for others, can be a problem.

VOICE ACTING:

I'm Spanish, and Catalonian, from Spain. I can perfectly do voices (and I love it) in Spanish or Catalonian. I have skills in voicing English and French, but with little accent, of course. In that way i easy can voice Italian.

TRANSLATING

I can do excelent job translating english to spanish (even I gain money for do that when I was game reviewer for Terra). I never do that for a game but I think could be interesting.

BETA TESTING

I want to help people to do better games with good beta testing and critics before the final launch.

I remember when my big brother lost my Galactic Inquirer from Space Quest V, where is the sector codes for travelling in the space in the game.

I had to wait to the information age to access the codes by illegal way and can finish the game :'( xD

The problem is what I haven't idea of what colors to use in the walls. Ship textures like others mine BGs? A scratch-drawed metalic great panes to contrast with the non-texture floor? Plain colors with ilumination? (beige, blue, pink...). I'm really upset (maybe isn't the word). I will to experiment at last, but i'm pesimist to finish the bg with good contrast quality. 'Cause this I'm looking for help.

Yes, The Bath is in a Space Cruiser, as I said. 'Cause this the left door is elevetad, and Nothing is outside the door cause surely I draw a escluse/hidraulic door in there. Its not decided yet. Maybe with the corridor barely view of the exterior.

For the shower-thing, I think same to Eigen "It's a part of the room where as the hallway is not so I think it makes perfect sense to keep it that way"

And Yes, Its incomplete, but appart of the ....(Alfombra thing, i don't remeber the tradution) and the mirror, I can't complete the rest of the BG in ten-twenty minutes, cause I thinks isn't too incomplete, and in part I seek color help..

Don't be hard with yourself. I will make the shadows more dark, and yes, make the black lines in the wall a bit more thiner, if you make this possibly the BG could gain a lot. And, as I said before, correct the horizon line in the window, is to bit low. (and far). Is the blacksmith in a mountain? Is not, from the window, normally, the character eye could view the grass, woods, a grain pillow, wooden... Not the far horizon. (I think)

Yes, one week ago, the game has the beneath at steel sky GUI, but recently I changed it for a customized verbcoin gui with Spacegui graphics, and the game have gain a LOT. Now the two actions have changed for four customizable actions for every object and hotspot, and is really cool.

Maybe the characters are scaled in this sshot, cause the proximity to the player eye in the game, but in the major part of the BGs, the scale isn't to much big.

Yeah, the perspective don't match U_U But I'm trying to finish the demo (Only a bunch of new animations and a pair of BG's) to upload the demo beat soon. Later I will fix little problems as this. the game have a lot of BGs and I can haste much time (And I have to make a estetic philosophy work in this weeks xD

Neverhood oh, one of the freakist adventures game I totaly in love!

Yes, the hundred-thousand hall of history hallway is really Kicking, as well the story wrote on the walls are very good to make in the story, very interesting yeah. (but obiously, i din't read whole xD)


I HATE the cretians laberynths in Indiana Jones and the Fate of atlantis (I fell i never do the action way-laberynth withouth a walktrougth.

The cretian laberynth in adventure way made me left the game a lot of months xD

And was claustrophovic xD

I LOVE Kiz Urazgubi puzzle to kill the assasinatrix, in Space Quest V. This game was epic for me ^^

When i was child I thinked sometimes to do a game with ripped BGs, but i give up when I realised that the need of ripped bg Cuts all the creativity.

No ofense to the autor, I hope he can make a great game ;)
