I think it would be wrong and unconstructive to say that all Brexit voters are racist*, but I think some people would prefer our analysis of Brexit to leave out the question of race altogether. Which would be a bigger mistake, because it's obvious that Islamophobia and other forms of racism were significant factors.

I think it's fair to acknowledge that the people who voted to leave did so in the knowledge that they were voting with racist right-wing nationalists? Or were people so misinformed that they just didn't know?

Why does it have to be a hard brexit? It seems to me that those politicians who wanted no brexit have done their best to make the exit as difficult as possible, hoping that the people will decide to stay in the EU after all.

Is there a "nice brexit" option? Or is it just hard brexit or no brexit?

Amazingly, and without precedent, Jack is utterly wrong and misinformed. Several deals were proposed and rejected. They were rejected not because a deal was impossible, but because both Leavers and Remainers in parliament were unprepared to accept the compromise the deals represented.

I think it's great that you're developing 3D skills, but I think it would be better to release these for free, under a CC-BY license if possible. That way you're more likely to get feedback and encouragement. When I use stock models, it's because I need something very specific (a model of car, a particular period item of furniture etc.). I suspect that generic items in a non-naturalistic style are likely to be less in-demand. I hope that doesn't sound too negative, it's just that I've been in this situation and it can be dispiriting not to make sales.

It's a bit hidden in the small print - but from this year on we aren't accepting the same game more than once. Sorry I didn't make that clearer in advance, but I'm glad you didn't spend a lot of time preparing a submission. Hope to see you there!

Yes, it's still in AGS! Yes it's 1920x1080 (or less, if you prefer)! Yes, me and real Nelly recorded all the voices in our tiny flat.

I've also added achievements, and replaced the hated verbcoin with a 2-click interface. Marco from Applications Systems Heidelberg has done loads of work making the game run on Mac and Linux.

We're going to be selling the game with a very small price-tag. Because it used to be freeware, after fees and taxes are deducted my share of the revenue will go to the RSPB, a British charity taking care of our feathered friends (birds). So if you feel weird about buying a formerly free game, you can still enjoy the cosy, warm feeling of me not getting any money.

I know it's an old game, and this isn't big news. But it's been really nice to revisit the game and make it playable again.

I think it's wrong to say "why are we fixing this cathedral when we could be re-homing these people?" Because there's no good reason to place culture and people's wellbeing in opposition to each other. I think the valid point that the comparisons raise is that billionaires have too much money and can't be relied upon to distribute it responsibly or rationally.

Sadly, there were terror attacks on Sri Lanka churches. I heard there were 875 churches over the past year in France that were involved with fire or vandalized.

The Sri Lankan attacks are appalling - but thankfully unconnected to the accidental fire in Paris. Church vandalism is also unconnected to the other two tragedies.

I'm sure it wasn't your intention, but there are some who are deliberately drawing parallels between unrelated events in order to support the narrative that the West/Christianity is under siege by Muslims.

What a relief to see that the windows have been preserved. And how sad that any BAD THING must be immediately followed by morons / truthers / bigots making it worse with their malicious opportunism.

I haven't seen the whole stream yet, but my favourite bits were the comparison to Mortal Combat, and him calling the protagonist a c**t because he let the balloon get away.

For people who don't know Limmy, he's a cult comedy hero. But he's known for extremely taking the piss, which from what I've seen he doesn't seem to be doing too much here. It's 12 minutes before he actually starts playing.
