Well, then I guess I agree.  It makes sense.  Stupid Americans!  They're so STUPID.

OH, i guess i overlooked what you were actually talking about.  Or did I?  "As God As" sounds bizarre to me, you sure that's what they say in movies?  I always thought it was "With God as".

I think the phrase makes perfect sense (if you believe in God) and that's why so many people use it.  It's like if you were to say, "With Steve as my wheel-man, we'll pull off this bank robbery without a hitch."  Or "With Suzzane as my witness, I'll never get convicted for that robbery!"  I don't see what all the hub-bub is about.

My dad actually has a book on the origins of odd expressions, unfortunately he lives in Florida so I can't borrow it.  It's an interesting subject though.

How come you keep altering the game?  It looked great the way it was!  How is it different?  Inquiring minds what to know.

Am I crazy, or does it not explain that in the manual under "Buttons"?

Thanks!

Ok, I believe I've already set the TopItem property...I'm using Scorpiorus's code above.  My question now is (and by the way, I'm now using 2.72), where do you place the code for my up and down buttons for the listbox.   So for my scroll up button, I've set the script name to ScrollButtonUp and I've set it to Run Script in the little GUI control panel...and I'd like to give the button this script:

function FrameButtonUp_Click(GUIControl *control, MouseButton button) {
  FrameList.ScrollUp();

  }

function FrameButtonDown_Click(GUIControl *control, MouseButton button) {
  FrameList.ScrollDown();

  }

which will hopefully scroll up the listbox.  Though I'm not really sure that this would work.  Now where do I place this script?  I take it also have to import these functions too?

Personally, i yearn for a remake of Police Quest SWAT.  Man, that game was sweet.

Sorry for the delay in responding to this (i got distracted with other things), but thanks Ashen and Scorpiorus.  That code seems to be working Scorpiorus.  My only issue now is being able to scroll up and down through previous entries in the list.  Is there a ScrollUp or ScrollDown function for lists?  Or just inventories?  I can't seem to find one.

As it is, I could just make sure that each hotspot description or random message fits within the list box, but I anticipate having longer messages that you would need to scroll down to read.  How should I go about doing this?

Thanks for the help,

Logan

Blechh...i can't stand hotmail!  Why do you need to sign in with @hotmail.com rather than just your username?  Oh, because they bought out other email companies and now we have the extremely un-userfriendly necessity of having to type in @hotmail.com.  It's these little things that drive me nuts.

Oh, and you can't search your email.  You have to scroll through page after page after page after page to find that old email you need.

Get gmail.  It's waaay better.

dkh is right.  You've got the right idea, but using a filter like that makes the image look flat and distorted.  Light wouldn't look like it's a perfect circle on every surface.  You're always going to get better results by drawing it by hand.

Europe isn't cheap if you have to fly there from north america.

I thought Henry was playing better in that match than Zidane anyway...

That could be really cool.

I could potentially host Mittens, either right in Washington, DC or possibly on Assateague Island in nearby Maryland:

It's where Blackbeard supposedly kept one of his wives:

But I doubt the beaches would compare to Greece or Spain.  Maybe a rustic vacation in the wildes would be better.

Yes, this game is in production: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=26567.0

So, i guess most people like the first image...which is interesting.  I'll think about it some more and come back to it later.  This is just for cutscenes anyway...

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for that edit Esterlin, it looks great.  I'll have to play around with it more.

Steve & Fred...I know what you mean about it looking stark (in a good way) but i think it sorta floats too much.  I think I like the latter images.  Maybe I'll find some other ways to make it look creepier.

Good ideas.  Here's snow on trees!  And another tree!

Ok, here's version two...added some more trees, evened out the house contrast a bit, and highlighted some snow per Farlander's suggestion...hopefully this makes it look less "floaty".

Thanks for the comments!
