I deliberately messed up my story even further, as I was a bit put off by the bizarreness and lack of consistency it already suffered from.

Before it reached me, the story had not only had a key character undergo a sex change, its narrative style and even tense was altered altogether.

So, I hope I'm excused for giving it the direction it got...

Still look forward immensely to reading it :)

PS:
Ok, I've had a brief correspondance with Dual, learning the nature of his predicament, and felt a bit guilty for locking this and telling him off.
Desperate needs call for desperate measures. It's just that in the past, we've had people simply asking for cash when they've been short on it, and I don't want it to become a fad.
This case is of course different, and I'm extremely proud and happy that Nikolas and some others have helped Dualnames getting out of this pickle, and I hope that he succeeds in raising the required funds.

Dual has also told me that he's happy to let this slide into oblivion - and is not dissatisfied with my decision to lock it - but I would like to add this disclaimer before it falls off the forum board edge.
Good luck Dual.

Ahem, this is not what this forum is for!
I really shoudn't need to point this out. I'm sorry if you're in a financial pickle, but asking for donations in a public indie community like this is simply not appropriate.

Calin could freeze opponents with his beauty and Andail, let's say he's goalie, can talk the opponent down with philosophy? This idea could be great!

I think my special power should be to ban opponents completely, forcing them to leave the match

I'm in as well.

I hope there will be several shorter stories instead of one or two really long ones.

House of leaves (which is actually a book),

A happy, folksy book. Please don't name a band after it.

Was this a joke? House of Leaves is anything but happy...
Interestingly, I've considered this name before, as I really really like the book, but then again the book is very dark and depressing, so it wouldn't really fit. Also, there is a band called it already, surprise. I even went so far as to consider The Whalestoe Letters as a name, as I think that particular passage is a brilliant piece of literature.

Regarding seasons, I've thought of the name The Autumn Odes in the past, which is a nod towards Keats. Moonlight Faire isn't bad, but it's almost a bit too glam-fantasy...
Keep 'em coming

2ma2?
Well I'll be darned :)
check my myspace link, mate

The dependants isn't bad...Seven Deadly Seals is definitely too metal...The Ones seems a bit too melodramatic. Summer Dresses too cheerful...but it's in the right ball park, I think
Damn, this is hard

The Secret Seven isn't bad, but just as most suggestions so far it's a bit too tounge-in-cheek indie for my taste.
So, less random irony, please.

General Discussion / "Band" name?
Mon 10/05/2010 10:42:26
Sorry for this vanity topic, but I really need help with a good name for my music...project. I plan to make it less about me and shift it towards a "band" even though it's mostly me and my female friend Ida who sings.
Apparently, there already exists a band for virtually any lexical entry in the english dictionary, so this was much harder than I had thought.

Obviously, the name must fit the rather sentimental folk music we've got going.
I would like a "the xs" kind of name, preferably something simple but with some sort of smart literary reference, but not to the extent that it becomes dry and pretentious.
Help?

Take a look at the run at 2.22...you can clearly see how he's trampling on something just underneath the surface - every step is the same depth - and then suddenly the ramp ends so he falls down very abruptly. Why would one step be "floating" and the very next, with equal momentum, make him plunge deep into the water?

And what about the jet ski trick? What is that all about? Would he pick up more speed by being dragged the first couple of meters by a jet-ski? IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE

PS:
Here's diva Chris Angel doing the same thing, although he's mastered it to a degree where he doesn't even have to run.

Gotta love how Slovenia has to borrow money to afford their share of the EU loan to Greece.

The wonders of capitalism.

The hilarious thing about Gilbert's AGI mockup is that apparantly, there is a puzzle which is solved by throwing a shuriken at the side of a road in the middle of nowhere

Somebody explain it to me, because now I'm scared.

There is no explanation. Km10's activity on this board is pretty much a one-way communication - he dumps these psychedelic ramblings here and it's up to you to digest it.

I think it sounds good, really nice retro feeling. Don't really have much c&c to offer, just keep up the good work
