Odd where we live in a time where no one minds at all battling through hell but the mere mention of a game about prayer yields sidelong glances and grumbles of trying to force religion on people.  Not sure why a game about god is bollocks and a game about the devil is awesome since they're both biblical figures, but whatever.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I don't think it's the moral issue of mixing religion and video gaming that makes people react.

I think it's the fact that Mass: We Pray! is such a corny, mindless, nonsensical excuse for a "game" that it can't possibly be taken seriously - I mean, the very idea that you would use hand controllers and sims to practice your faith is simply ridiculous.

The game about the devil is a game; it has a plot and a gameplay, it's designed to be exciting, not to let people practice satanism.

Yeah sorry meant to send it to the technical forum. Fixed it now.

Original and signed Andy Warhol? Holy macaroni, that's in the range of $20.000 and upwards

It's interesting though, that even if some of these alleged "lost positives" theoretically exist, it's more common to use the negative form and then negate that.

"Evitable" exists, but you would probably rather say "it's not inevitable" than "it's evitable".

I too could tell immediately which tutorial it is based on :)

And furthermore I second everything Darth said

How much for some pictures of you in a nurse's uniform without having to play the bloody game?

Babar, I would definitely say that your destinction belongs to a very narrow technical field, and the general definitions of those adjectives are synonymous

Thanks! Still fresh in my twenties!

Good point, Calin.

The pedants would prescribe "Johnny is bigger than I", but noone in their right mind would say "Johnny is bigger than we" instead of "Johnny is bigger than us". Or?

This is an age-old controversy. Traditionally, puritans have claimed that it's "Johnny and I" because, as you said, "me" is reserved for the object position he shot me.

I think most modern grammarians will accept that people use both forms (just as the entire society of grammarians tend to move towards a descriptive view on language instead of a prescriptive one.)

This issue affects other areas too: It has always been a pet peeve amongst puritans that people use the object form in comparisons "Johnny is bigger than me", and the language law enforcers have advocated the usage of "Johnny is bigger than I", although I think this controversy is slowly waning, as people find it completely silly to say things like "I'm bigger than she".

I'm gonna lock this, as we don't encourage people to use the general forum for personal advertisement.

The biggest problem with initiating ambitious projects and assembling teams is that few people will trust your skills and committment until you've created a game on your own. That's really the best way to go.

Fret not, in just five years we will have...

DEFENDERS OF THE EARTH

Possibly one of the most bombastic super-hero cartoons of the 80's, and that says a lot. I saw a couple of episodes as a kid and enjoyed it highly.

Apparently, it takes place in 2015, so keep a lookout!

Maybe we can leave the politics aside and focus on the technical/science fictional aspects of asteroid-fighting instead?

I find it very fascinating to ponder on the far future of mankind, in a perspective of thousands or even millions of years. Will we have spread to other planets? What will our civilization(s) be like? How will religion and philosophy be affected by the discovery of other worlds?

People can't guide you through the entire process of making a game. You need to start somewhere on your own, and explore the engine enough to be able to ask more pertinent questions on specific topics and problems.

Let's just say that both games, especially MOTLPAA I would guess, involved a fair amount of pretty advanced coding, so you should probably start with learning the programming language fluently.

Good luck!

Guys, next time you're waiting for a moderator to lock a thread, don't use the time to fill it with even more crap.

Icey Games; read the rules of every board before you post, and you'll be fine.

Yes, please don't use the forum for personal advertisement, especially when it's on a commercial basis.

Advertise in your signature or in the thread Domino pointed to, and people are bound to appreciate your skills.
Good luck!

General Discussion / Re: A new car.

On a related note, I'm going to sell my Skoda.
Lately I've had my tires sliced, and a side window busted. Yesterday morning the battery was dead, so I was 40 mins late for work.
Some half a year ago the car was broken into and completely destroyed, leaving me with a 400â,¬ repair bill. Just months before that, several electronical components had burnt somehow, rendering the car motionless in the middle of a busy street. Around a year ago I had to change a ball joint and fix a lamp, etc etc.

All in all, just one big hassle. Going back to bicycle and buses now.

Yeah, I was just gonna bring up RLATBTAT and the beard option, which by the time I played it was among the funniest moments I've ever had with an AGS game.

Generally though, AGS games don't seem to offer that much custumization. Sorry that we can't accommodate to your needs better, Selenay
