I wouldn't call it exceptional, but it's a good solid study of an eagle's head, and that's pretty much it.

I agree with S that the motif is a bit tacky, especially since - with the backdrop and the signature - it appears to be a finished picture

Sorry, Shiver, I posted in the wrong thread, must have had two windows up at the same time. My bad!

I remember when the AGS editor was all in Sanskrit, when animations were all about wooden puppets hanging by strings, when you had to pray to Thor before attempting to compile your game, when CJ wore a beard and had six arms and only assisted you with technical questions if you sacrificed a goat, when Helm could still not speak but only wave his hands, and when the forum was a place of trampled earth, surrounded by monoliths on top of which rested six black ravens.
Those were the days!

Ok, you probably all know I'm not exactly a web wizard, but my technology-challenged school still asked me to remake their homepage.

Their current homepage is basically a pile of shit. It's so bad you almost suspect someone deliberately made it to suck.
http://www.onneredsskolan.nu

Along with the new design, I'm going to include loads and loads of new graphics - nice, up-to-date photos of pupils and teachers and facilities etc. All links and menus will be re-organised, but I don't expect you to help with this (considering it's in Swedish)

Here's my first concept:

Naturally, the photos in the top banner will be from my school, and not random google-images like now.

Thoughts and c&c so far?

Yay, nostalgia threads. I remember my first nostalgia thread like it was yesterday!

Quick edit to give it a more metalic texture:

Added some light blue highlights to give it some shine
Added black areas for the same purpose
Brightened the flame and its reflection

Obviously you need to refine the pixel work, I did it very rough

Hehe @ Erenot

Dakota Fanning, though, she's so precocious I can hardly stand it. I once had to sit through "I am Sam", and the entire experience (along with the vulgarly bitter-sweet script and Sean Penn's pathological overacting) just made me sick.

I think adding colours would do wonders...Don't really see why you've chosen to keep them just black, as it looks very dull to me

I've done this every Tuesday morning, for years. Didn't know it was a known ritual.

I could go for some Deluxe Editions of Carl Barks' Collected Works.

Oh yes, the glorious Carl Barks era :) That was when Donald Duck was exciting and interesting, and not just a silly farse.

As the proud starter of Be Quiet, I'm pleasently surprised to see how tight and coherent it turned out (for a colaborative effort, that is).
I really tried to come up with an opening that allowed for many different interpretations and also many different styles.

I think the over all quality of the stories was higher than in previous projects, which is a good sign, especially since everyone wrote several passages each, and under much more stress.

Thank you Vince for the great administration, and also some fine contributions :)

Both.
Intelligence is highly hereditary, but you can increase your child's "core" IQ by continuously stimulating their brain. Conversely, even good genes will be wasted on a brain that gets no stimulation whatsoever.

I agree with SSH - although I refuse to write my message as if it were a game spoiler.

Nacho, my sympathies, mate, I know how it feels. Right now you feel like you've failed her, or even betrayed her, but in the end you've done the right thing. Relationships shouldn't be built on pity alone - nor should they assume the shape of tutor/apprentice.

Realising that you can't be her father anymore may be what actually pushes her to pursue an active life of her own; one filled with friends and activities.
Relationships that begin when someone is 16 are bound to either undergo long breaks or simply end, it's just pure statistics.

My advice for now is to not rush into a new relationship immediately. I second Nikolas' notion that it sounds slightly odd how willing your old girlfriend is to instantly be involved with you again, having loved you all those years. Ask yourself why you two broke up in the first place. Be sure not to get another "daughter" around your neck...

At least try the market for a while, enjoy being single, date women, relieve some stress :)

Usually, the panel rates the games of friends and family first. And highest. Some members pay a little fee to have their games rated quick and high. Moderators, mitteneers and competition winners are also high on the priority list.

I'm a bit dissatisfied about how many people we've had to "skip".
We were told explicitly to make sure we really had the time to do this before signing up. It's strange that so many people have such a bad time management
#1558
A pity noone went for this...it's really a good topic...would have given it a shot if I had the time

Yeah, "back door man" conveys a ton of gay vibes. You don't get the impression that he is gay in the game.
