I turn 28 in a week and a half...feels weird to be ten years older than someone who just turned adult...

But boy, am I happy to have grown since then...

Cosplay, the wonderful mixture of geekiness and perversion

Beautiful, Snake!
Wonderful low-res, low-key scenery.

Even though you've successfully used very subtle tones, I think you could apply just a few more highlights here and there, just to give clarity to the shapes. Also, just a hint of yellow in the lamp light would work.

That's cool, Al Lowe certainly is an important figure for all retro adventure gamers :)

Not wanting to beat a dead horse here, but Nacho, I clearly remember how you - although it was a few years ago - kept posting comic strips that were clearly political.

The comic strips had to do with how correct USA was in invading Iraq, and other conservative messages. They at least attempted to be funny, and I think they were in your opinion.
Now you completely turn your back on political comedy...

Gotcha :P

Yay for Obama!

Go home, ye nasty grand old hawks!

Snarky, I totally adore von Trier's Riget :) It's a masterpiece in every single aspect!

Oh, and Neutron; wrap this up, please, it's getting over due!

Backgrounds look great, but the artist seems to have this thing for exceedingly bright white light-sources :)
A bit too cheap an effect in my eyes but I guess it works on a casual audience...

Can you further explain what you mean by "too cheap an effect"? I can understand if it's not your thing, I'm just curious what makes it cheap.

This is not the critics lounge, and I also appreciate that the backgrounds have been mass-manifactured, so I'm sorry if I'm being a bit snobbish here.

Basically the lights have been applied as very strong white daubs and are poorly integrated in the environment. I think this makes the scenes more impressive at a first glance, or for a less critical eye, but appears a bit "plastic" and generic upon closer inspection.
I could point out in detail how the lighting is rather unnatural, but I don't want to come across as too anal.

Either way, for being an entire set of backgrounds, they are well done and very stylish.

Dude(s), you have to use layers and build up your background and not just throw paint on top it.

It looks very flat and crayon-ish right now...I think there's long way to go from here

Palm oil is the cheapest oil available, I think, so basically everything's that's ready-cooked or half manifactured or fried and cheap contains palm oil.
It's very unhealthy too.

Anyhow, really interesting game, Dave, I hope to play it sooner or later.

Amen!

And one day you'll learn to appreciate political satire as well! One day!

Are you serious Nacho? I'm reading your post over and over again and there's not a single sentence I agree with  :-[

Political comedy is essential in any type of society, especially when the political arena is so distant from the lives of ordinary citizens.
How can it make you an idiot to appreciate smart, witty political satire?

In my book, people like Jon Stewart deserves all the respect he can get.

Quotewho are you to judge my art? i can do art with both pictures and ass.

Don't ever again come here with that crap attitude. I don't think you've understood the purpose of this board, so maybe you should lurk some before you post next time.

That's one thing I've wondered about. Liberal, democratic media has such wonderfully talented comedians/journalists such as Colbert and Jon Stewart, and heck, even Letterman and O'Brien have liberal streaks in them.

The right-wing has utter nutjobs like O'Reilly, who instead of comedy employs sheer agression to convey his messages.

I'm not taking political stands here, just commenting that it must be really hard to find humourous, intelligent tv entertainment if you're dedicated right-wing?

I think Larry Vales was done entirely with flags.

Yes, kids, flags.
