Is Ags an acronym? I thought it was an expletive for severe pain.

Ags!

That's a later question, and something our folk musicians will deal with.

Just sketched this up as a concept for a tattoo for a friend of mine.
It is based on the Vitruvian Man by DaVinci, only in top-down perspective and a bit more sketchy.

Any c&c? If it gets to be a tattoo, I'll clean it up a bit, thicken the outlines etc.

The founding of this nation is getting a bit unfocused. I've taken the liberty to come up with a constitution.
Please sign it and be the fathers (or mothers) of this nation.

~ The Christopia Constitution ~
1. Cristopia is a democracy with a king, and the king is CJ, and the king has no political power.
2. Any person may form a party and run for presidency. The term is two weeks, but the president may be re-elected any number of times.
3. Everybody has the right to vote, except for people mixing exclamation marks with 1s in an excessive manner.
4. Anybody may apply for land in Christopia, and for forming their own province. Those who cannot form a new province will populate existing ones. Every province is incorporated in the federal political system, but may form their own laws as well. A weekly contest will award the best new law.
5. There may be no death penalties, but any number of other interesting punishments are encouraged
6. Arms are allowed to a maximum of ten per adult and five per child, and three for ex-convicts, slaves and people mixing exclamation marks with 1s in an excessive manner. Only the federal police may use nuclear weapons for law enforcement.
7. Alcohol, drugs and beat poetry are restricted to the streets, and only during night-time.
8. All animals on the Island of Christopia must be respected and protected, except for those whose meat is tasty.
9. Every Friday night, all citizens must take part in the celebration of King CJ, and in the fact that he holds no political power. War must not be waged during these celebrations.
10. Every province is responsible for their own armies, and these may not attempt to overthrow the government unless they find it absolutely necessary.

Let's get this signed and start the elections!

CJ, considering that 9 out of 10 Christopians talk about nothing else than rebelion, you don't want to speak too loudly about taxes.

Someone fluent with webdesigning and with some extra web space could just whip something up.

We need to come up with a constitution, then start to elect ministers and pass laws. Let there be many nice laws.

Everybody participating must make up an alter ego, complete with a portrait, personal history and political agenda.

I think we lack some structure here.
How about an official webpage, with maps, stats and pretty illustrations?

Initially, I planned to propose for the grand-slam winners of the competition forum to get some sort of special titles.

Anyhow, what I meant to finish my previous post with (after the "either" clause) was to say "or get rid of them entirely", as I find it strange that only two members should be awarded custom titles and no else.

Especially when those two happen to be genuine crooks.

PS:
Thanks SSH for finally pushing me out of the leet-league :)

AGA and Eric were once awarded for something leet they did, and got custom titles.

In the spirit of this, I think we should either implement more random rewards and nifty prizes.

PORFO!1!?!?

We've tried to teach CJ how to play the guitar a few times. Once he composed "Ode to a Note", which was played by tapping one of the strings repeatedly.
He definitely has talent.

As the minister of culture, I've implemented mandatory education in the arts of background-painting, sprite-drawing and animation.

There will be 50 new libraries, all devoid of Dan Brown and Paolo Coelho, and 15 concert halls, all proudly lacking symphonic hard rock ala Evanescence.

You're over-sensitive, my friend :)
First you get all wound up about something I never said, namely that fencing is unsophisticated or whatnot (which is a complete fabrication on your part), and when I try to make you feel better by mentioning that I myself go to a gym, which is far less sophisticated, you make a big deal out of that:
"the mighty gym-attending, self-actualized Andail ".
It seems there is little I can say to console your wounded ego.

As far as an insult goes, I was hitting more at your English learning method than your actual spelling. :)

This is a part I still don't get at all. What, pray, are those methods that you make fun of? I just got back my literature thesis, and I got a far better grade than any of my Sussex (native English speakers) classmates.

And even if I would have acquired all my English knowledge from Mortal Kombat (a game whose connection to me I still fail to grasp...or wait, is it the usage of "K"? Please tell me it isn't!), wouldn't that be quite cool?

EDIT:
A little article about what I spoke of earlier
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/060508/8homeland.htm

extract:
Quote
U.S. News has identified nearly a dozen cases in which city and county police, in the name of homeland security, have surveilled or harassed animal-rights and antiwar protesters, union activists, and even library patrons surfing the Web. Unlike with Washington's warrantless domestic surveillance program, little attention has been focused on the role of state and local authorities in the war on terrorism

Dude, I said that fencing isn't very politically provocative. I meant that if you were ever to partake in associations or organisations dealing with politically hot stuff, like anti-war issues, veganism, unionism, etc, you might experience a different side of your government.
I never said that fencing is unsophisticated or a sign of low education. I myself go to the gym regularly, and that's light-years away from the sophistication of fencing.

And if you think it's "making fun" of somebody to point out a typo, you need to brush up your mocking skills. Spelling has little to do with education. People with dyslexia can still be remarkably well educated.
But hey, if you want to quibble, we could still have a spelling bee just you and me, and then we could laugh at the loser.

Edit: Here's the passage, in all its i-mockerish glory, that I was referring to:
Quote
And yeah, thanks for the fencing put-down. Next time you might want to spell "provocative" correctly when you're trying to make me feel uneducated. Mortal Kombat isn't a good reference for learning English.

Big Brother:
You make a big deal out of spotting a typo when you debate with a foreigner.

Also, you equate lack of taxes with freedom.

I think continuing this is quite pointless.

In that case, BOTH Neil Patrick Harris and Conan O'Brien were murdered by either Gordon Brown or Eric, and buried by these on Diarrhea Island, Eric using his time travelling skills to make sure he could be with an alibi all the time, while Gordon Brown disguised himself as a sheep and swam to Albany, where he sold himself for a moderate price on the annual cattle fair.

The King of Sweden orders Adam and Grundislav, the two best canoeist we have, to immediately commence an expedition to said island and find the corpses.

Gordon Brown was, as usual, played by AGA.

Big Brother:
Let's recapitulate. Somebody tried to present the fact there exist places with more freedom than the USA, to which you reply

Quote
The moon, up your mother's ass (Mr. Show), some parts of the Sahara and Gobi deserts...

After this statement, immature in diction as in sentiment, you seem both amused and surprised that I didn't get your "point" (but please, pretty please, feel free to enlighten me about this point of yours).

Freedom is of course subjective, and it's also a question of give and take. Most Americans claim to be free since they have the rights to own weapons, but this in my opinion takes away from the freedom of feeling safe.

You have the Patriot Act and several other more or less known survellaince programs, often heavily focused on organisations openly debating everything from veganism to anti-war issues to abortions (no matter how peaceful they are). People who look just remotely arabic can be held captive and sustained without cause, trial or attorneys.

If you ever partake in movements more politically provokative than fencing, you might experience this too.
And this doesn't happen in most western European countries today.

You missing the point, buddy. :)

If you want to quibble, I compete in the fencing World Cup circuit a few years back... which gives me more international travel experience than most Americans (and more mileage than most Europeans).

What places are you talking about?

For the record, I've been to some 25 countries on 4 different continents, and I've been involved in exchange student organisations since 2001.

When it comes to freedom, it's a matter of what you value. For me it's a sort of freedom being able to walk in a school or a street without risking being gunned down.
Then again, last time I was in the Sahara desert I was part of a convoy surveyed by armed policemen, which wasn't very free at all.
