Hm, It's recommended not to alter the character x and y variables during the game. However, that does not seem to be your problem...

I don't understand your scripting fully.
Does he really need to skip back and forth like this... wouldn't it be easier to adjust the animation instead?
And what's with that sudden disappearing?
#5022
When you have a script executed as the player walks on a hotspot, you will need to quickly disable that trigger, or the script will run over and over again. This could lead to the game crash, I suppose.

One solution is to make a local int and use it to disable the function the second time.

yeah, it's really a burning issue around here...

Well, if this trend continued it'd be kind of repetative after a while...after all, we have like 4-5 new members each day, but only a few per week actually stays.
I still think it's nice with introduction threads, anyway.

I thought this was kind of funny. I mean, compared to all the crap there is on the internet, this is hardly exceptionally tasteless.
It's not even close to a dead-baby joke

The topic is:

Heterosexuality is just a social convention. Bisexuality is the natural way.

Plasticman and Leksutin agree, and get the first post

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but I don't think a hello can be much more official than this.

Welcome anyway :)

I agree that Mitar did too many bad things that in the long run became unacceptable, and have run out of second chances even for a person in his age.
If we made a list of all weird things he did, everybody would agree. Mods has all the reasons in the world to hate the kid's guts.

On the other hand, I don't think the community would suffer very much from a polite good bye when somebody leaves it.

Of course, pretending to be all heartbroken is rather hypocritical as well.

I think this thread is ready to be locked soon, DG, DS or Leks.

I would like to remind people that now might be a good time to book their trips, as prices surely will rise toward the summer.
It would also be nice with some updates from people who expressed uncertainty regarding their sign-up...especially people from far away, although it seems the yankies once again bailed out already.

Sorry for the delay, something came up today.
Anyway, here's a controversial topic for you:

These boards would gain from a 18-years old age limit

Would they? Netgraph and Esseb thinks so.
Remixor and Ben don't, and they get the first post.

Frenchy, the whole point with objects is that you import them to a certain room.
What difference does it make if they are turned on and off in another room?

If you want a specific object to be turned off or on when the character enters a room, just put the functions Scotch suggested in the "player enters room" trigger
#5032
Hm, I really think you should spend more time reading  the manual and experimenting with the features a bit by yourself.
Your questions seem a bit arbitrary, and not very thought through.
#5033
Maybe it's not a very smooth way, but you could disable the walkable areas, and the character wouldn't be able to move at all

You could also program it using global int, that prevented your mous clicks to be carried out

I felt the need to go the extra mile to underline the fact that probably nobody really cares whether you're here or not, no matter if their courteous manners dictate that they say otherwise.

...and although these courteous manners may be hypocritical, they sure make this social establishment of ours a bit more civil :)

Does nobody have a nickname which is just a shortened version of their name? And what happened to just adding 'y' to the end of your surname? Nicknames these days...

If I added Y to my real name it would be Pettery, which people would confuse with Petteri.
Additionally, it would suck as a nickname

This is a bit spammy, and probably not even legal, but I just wanted to remind you all that you can head over to the Competition forum and vote for your favourite debators.
As if you'd care.
As if DG and Leks wouldn't lock this thread or just remove it.

Good bye, you little Soviet Wannabe. You have mostly been a good sport, and it's good you'll finish the competition before leaving.
