General Discussion / Re:Ouchh!

I bet Jack Ass has their own forum, and I bet it looks somewhat like this.

I once projected my ass on a copying machine.

Well, at least I saw a guy doing it.
Asch, actually I've just heard about people doing it. And they were all satanists.

How about this:
You play a bouncer in front of a disco. All you do is standing there refusing Larry Laffer entrance. Until he finds the disco-pass, of course. Then it's game over.

One could think that a bunch of young computer geeks who know how to construct adventure games and advanced homepages should be able to send emails to eachother without screwing it up

Very nice, Xadhoom.
Welcome to the boards.

No BMP:s, please.
Take it down and replace it with JPG or GIF or PNG or whatever.

General Discussion / Re:_THE_ list

I would really like to know who requested this list....
But hey, I agree on Kandyman, cute little fella

I had a romance in my game. It was rather short, but I'm sure it was pretty intense.

We got too many of these threads...this forum is meant for publishing material, not to keep asking for programs...

If someone compiles a list of all common paint-programs and where and how to obtain them, I will make it a sticky.

General Discussion / Re:I HATE my dad
Tue 22/04/2003 10:36:16
I agree with Helm and Rodekill...and scotch...and some more...

We can sit here all day listen to people saying stereotyped things like
"Hate is such a strong word"..."it can be tough sometimes"..."I bet your dad really loves you and would like to bake a big cake for you"...

People mostly say those things to set up some image of themselves being understanding and considerate. To be honest, I don't think anybody really feels sorry for you, Jimi, for the one reason that you didn't express anything in this thread worth pitying.
When I do practice-work for my education, I see lots of teenagers that are so damaged and mentally demolished because of their family or social situation, and when I come to this board, I would feel like a hypocrit if I forced myself to say that I felt sympathy for what I read in threads like this one.

I know I had this discussion with Eric, but I will stick to my previous standpoint: Your problems are nothing in comparison to what most members of this community have to deal with daily, or any teenager out there. Be happy with what you've got, growing up is tough, but you still need to see things with a bit of perspective.

So, enough gut-spilling and self-pitying now.

Listen to Pessi; the V.I.P of the critic's lounge :)

Regarding the forum policy, most nudity is allowed if there is a warning in the subject, and if it's artistic, of course. Kro-ki, for example, is after all an essential part of an artist's training.
But Annie, wouldn't this fit in the competitions and activities forum? It's after all an activity.

Not very much of melody, but still a bit interesting.
Could pass as expressive synth or elaborative rock or something

It seems people are starting new program-requests- threads every week.
Try to browse (use search) the boards before writing a request.

Hehe, thanks for the bumbing :)

Well, the production is halted at the moment. Perhaps I will return to the project when I get more time and motivation.
I'll let you know then :)

well, the swedes aren't really bright. swedish girls are easy.
He he...why don't you come over to mittens to prove these questionable standpoints?

are there any rules in this forum that says you can't speak your own language?
Yes, in the "Read before posting"-thread. You read this, right?
#5078
It still didn't work for me

Why would you want to know my name ?
I don't want to know your name, I want you to not be anonymous.

You don't know who I am and I probably won't post here again. What does it matter if I'm called Harold or Paquita ?
That's not the point, I just think you should stand up for your opinion. You won't post again? So you're telling me you just dove into this particular board, opened one thread and threw in one link, and that's all?
Quote
So what's the problem ? You assume that, because I posted this, I agree with the article ?
I don't assume anything, but sure, it would be easier if you made a stand, explaining why you so arbitrarily tossed in that link. One might draw the conclusion that you meant something with it.
But hey, you're back pleading your case, that's like half the way.

I am tempted to make a small assumption:

1. Mitar doesn't have 67 backgrounds
2. And if he has, they're not indy-style
3. And if they are, he didn't draw them himself

I'd be happy if you proved me wrong, Mitar
