From the window by the computer in the villa I live in I see a small park and between the trees and bushes I see the villas on the other side of the park, but not as much as I do in the winter-time when I have a 'front-row-view' of the neighbours daughter's bedroom vindow... :P

From the window in my office (own room, no cubicle) I see: An intersection, parked cars, three flagpoles, a slaughterhouse, a woodcraft-school, the roof of the firestation, the chimney of 'Israel' (the old district heating plant), the chimney of the new district heating plant, and a blonde girl on a red bike...

General Discussion / A funny little poem
Wed 30/06/2004 10:33:54
A funny little poem I found yesterday...

Why are you sending me postcards,
when you don't love me no more?

I have no interest in postcards,
what are you sending them for?

I have no interest in places,
places that you like to see.

Beaches and cities and faces,
why do you send them to me?

Why are you sending me postcards?
What do you want me to see?

Or do you think all these postcards
proves that you're happy and free?

Or do you think I collect them,
thousands of postcards from you?

Yes, you must think I collect them,
but that is not what I do...

I give them to Morgan, my dog, every night.
He eats them and thinks that they taste quite alright.

He looks at me afterwards, thinking so sweet:
Why is she sending me postcards to eat?

I don't know, little Morgan, I don't know, I reply.
I don't know why she sends them, no I don't know why.

Yes, but this is not a cow, this is a man in a cow suit.

But then it doesn't need tail or horns either, since it's not a cow, right?

I think it needs the udder, otherwise it's a man in a bull-siute...

here's how it turned out: I did not changed so much: moved the door
to the middle, wrote 'I love c++' on the wall, added some 'fill in your
name and press print' diplomas and a bed (it's that kind of plastic
things you have under your sleepingbag that hikers have rolled up
on top of their backpacks)

This is Chris Jones home. One of the missions in my uppcomming game FATE
(Federal Agency for Time Emendation) will take place here. Now I need some
ideas. Does your imaginary Chris Jones Have any else furniture than a computer?
Does he sleep on a matress, a bunch of newspapers or in a huge cardboard box?

Hope CJ does'nt mind being used in this game...

Advanced Technical Forum / Ugly text-aperance
Sat 05/06/2004 16:45:44
I use the 'standard' text-in-white-box to display non-speaking texts,
for example when the player looks at something. But the box looks ugly. I
t diplays an whole empy row beneath every text-boxÃ, like this:

----------
Ã,  TEXT

----------

(The----- is the upper and lower 'frame' of the box)
I've checked for row-breaks and so, but there is none.
I want it to look like this:

----------
Ã,  TEXT
----------

Any ideas?

The game is partly converted from an older ags-version

the anchor looks strange, the 'claw' is bended the wrong way, sort of. the sand looks fantastic but wet. (But maybee it's supposed to be wet?) and the oar stands in the wrong direction (just like a showel or rake you lean it against walls with the 'head' down...)

Looks good. More contrast would make it better (mentioed in other posts) . You should allso concier to remove the wire from the lamp. Lamps does not usualy hang in wires exept from realy heavy lamps. but since this only looks like a lightbulb it should at least not hang in a wire that's thick enough to carry an elephant ...

See if you know how to drive in Sweden. (Click the english flag on
the first page to take the test in english)  This is the Swedish national
road administration's demonstration of the driving licence theory test.

Here is the walkcycle I use. Frame 2 and 6 looks crapy, but it fits fine and look
rather human in the animation (If somebody cares to animate it) Maybe it can
give you an idea or two, Zor.

I dunno if it has something do do with 'What the f*** is wrong with kids these days?!?!' but Swedish police has during the last year begun to use Counter-terrorist weapons and hollow-pointed bullets (banned by the Hague-convention since 1899) against 'normal criminals'...

Is that red thing a heating radiator? Cos it look like a bunch of red bicycle-tires haning on a pipe... ;) Try to make it less cartoony, else the players might not see what it is, and thinks it's some kind of gadget they need to do something with to finish the game.  But I might be wrong, but it is a radiator, right?  Try to make it more like this picture. You can 'bend' it to fit the cartoony look anyway. I hope you don't think that I'm to hard?  ;)

Yes, I am still looking for a name for the game. The agency will be called F.A.T.E. (Fedral Agency for Time Emendation) But for the game I have not yet desided. The game will have lots of 'missions' that the character must fullfill, and inbetween those missions I am planning to add some kind of 'social life' for the character at the base, to get a authentic touch and being able to add some humor between the 'serious missions'...

But, like I said before; I dunno...
