Update with explanations: There are a table in a room that stands like a counter out from the wall (there are walkable areas on tree sides of it) The player character starts behind the table, and when you click with the walk-to cursor on the area infront of the table, sometimes he walks around the table, and sometimes he walks right trough the table. I've checked the walkable areas 3 times and made the 'non-walkable-area' between the one behind the table and the one infront of the table whider each time, but 50% of the times I click he still walks trough the table... *confused*

My character walks wherever he wants. I have a at least 4-5
pixel whide area that is not-walkable,(Not filled with any
walkable-area-colour) but the character just walks across it.
It looks strange since there is a table in that area, and he just
walks right trough it.

Hov do I stop him from doing this? I can't make the
not-walkable-area whider, 'cos the room is not that whide...

proportions is important, else it might end up like te early sierra-games (SQ1, PQ1 and Larry 1) where the rooms are drawn in perspective, but not the character, so when he stands in the lower corner of the room there is like 22m to the celing... Looks very good...

Have, by the way. anyone thaught about using a stright 'bird's-eye' point of view in a game?

I agree... let's be a pain in the behind on CJ
untill he adds something like that, or why
not something like this instead:

(Before fadein) if you came from room 1, apear on x22, Y33...

well, you get the idea...

Look at this example picture, and explain to me how I do to make the 'A'-part och the counter the same with as the 'B'-part when i draw perspective. Now i just put it where it looked good, but there must be another way, a  'right way'. or?

It still looks like if there's a lightbulb inside the globe. But since there are eartgh-globes with lightbulbs in, you might use it as a lightsource....

Why not use the big bad black object as a character-view, and save all that scripting?

I'm not so fond of the commic-style graphics, but yours looks good anyway. Maybee the shadows and light-areas are a little strange, but...

is there some sort of area-light-level that allso affects the background so that not only the character gets lit when he walks under the lamp, but the wall and floor allso is lit? (so that i don't have to make the area lighter in the paint program from the beginning)

thanx.

There is a light spot on the desk, like if the lamp was on, but the lamp itself looks turned off...
