A still from the movie. Too bad
it's not developed yet...

If Eggnog accepts this lame
attempt, next up will be:

The result of your worst
attempt to pick up a girl/boy...

Just a little detail: The door on the house with the 3 windows
ends just where the windows begins. This means that the
windows must stand on the second story floor itself.
It's hard to explain, but I hope that you see what I mean...

I'm happy with it now. Maybe this is something for the 'technical archive' ?

Ummm, it seems you have answered your own question.

Do you realy mean that 'if score<10' works? I've never tried it..
#188
Can I do that?

I know that I can use 'GiveScore (-10);' if the player buys something that
costs $10, but can I add something that displays "You can't afford that" if the
score is less than 10? It does not have to be fancy, just something like
'if score<10 display message, else Givescore (-10); ad inventory...'

Please help

Since I'm sick of making all those fiiine backgrounds and characters
for my main game I've put it on ice and instead plan to make a
old-time 320x200 larry-style game called 'Garry'.

The only difference is that this is going to be even worse ;)

The picture speaks for itself as it mainly is 'borrowed' from Larry...

C&C? Things you missed in Larry that you wan me to include?

for some reason and i don't know why, maybe cause there's no detail on the screen but it seems the top is twisted or slanted to face us.

When you draw isometrical images, and something in the image isn't in the 'isometrical straight angles', it does look a little slanted or twisted due to the lack of perspective.

Now to my critisism: The screen looks smaller than the 'keyboard'; It looks like if the top of the screen would bee by the loudspeaker when it's folded together. But I don't know, maybee this is how it's supposed to bee ?

Thank Thee, Steve, my new best friend. I choosed the

function EnteredRoom()
{
character[EGO].activeinv = -1;
if (GetCursorMode() < 6)
{
SetCursorMode(MODE_WALK);
}
}

alternatvie, and it did not work. Then, after 15 minutes of
'code-control', I notised that my character isn't named 'EGO'.....

When you have picked an inventory object from the inventory-list, and this is used as a cursor, you are stuck with it in the cursor-cycle untill you pick up something else or lose the inventory item.

can I somehow put a 'time-out' for the item, so the cursor-cycle returns to 'normal' after let's say one minute (but without loosing the object from the inventory-list) or maybee some script that shows the item for let's say 5 cycles and then returns to normal (again without loosing the object from the inventory-list)

Do you get it?
#196
How hard is that to do? I don't need buttons and so, just a frame with the inventory objects. If the cursor-circling still works, i can use the interract-hand to pic up the items, and a click outside the window closes it. Maybee. But that would probably take 12 hours to script.....
#197
It still doesn't work. I guess i'll have to make the inventory slots bigger to fill out the space...

But does anyone know how i change the size of the entire inventory-window?
#198
Thanx.

If i just write ''game.items_per_line = 6;'' it will 'fill up' with
new lines (of four objects) as the inventory fills up, right?

It does not work....

There is still only four items on each row and room for 6
#199
No, TK. tell me about them. Where do I put them,
and how does the exact script for them look like?
#200
I dont get it... I'm using the standard 'pop-up' inventory window, not any GUI-based window at the bottom of the screen
