'Futurewars' had an gui like this, and just like rich said, you should use something else for 'Take'.
Futurewars used this list, quite similar to yours:

EXAMINEÃ,  Ã,  Ã,  -- looks at things
TAKEÃ,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  -- picks things up
INVENTORYÃ,  -- Inventory screen
OPERATEÃ,  Ã,  Ã,  -- Open doors, pushes buttons
SPEAKÃ,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  Ã,  --Ã,  Blah, blah...

have realised that adventure games drive you mad. I was recently playing Full throtle and needed to open the chest in mos room. I got stuck so i left it forÃ,  a bit. I forgot all about it. I was working in my garage when i saw a crowbar. now, this is absolute truth. i oicked up the crowbar, took it up to my room. only THEN realising that it wasn't real life. fortunatley i was home alone, so nobody could mock me. You can all mock me here beacuse, in my mind, you are not real people as you live on the internet. Anybody else done anything crazy whilst playing an adventure game?

I had a similar experience this week. I work with CAD ( Computer Aided Design)
That means that i make blueprints using a computer. But the other day I worked with PAD (Pen Aided Design) meaning that i drew with pen on paper irl, and about every 15:th minute i got that 'I better press save-button' -feeling.  It just didn't feel right to draw whitout saving...

How about this for perspective idea?

You start in section A, and then mark 1 is the point of perspective, centered on the screen. While moving to the right, the scene starts to scroll, and you will find yourselfe in section C. Since you now can't see the side-walls, and the platform is so narrow, a lack of perspective is easily overseen by the player. When you come to section B the perspective will be mark 2, following same principles as mark 1.

It would look like this:

Did Flashback /OOTW do the perspective in a special way? Do you know of any sites that explain it?

Flashback was more of a platform arcade-game whitout perspective, using dimmed colours to make objects look more distant. It was diferent with Another world / out of this world (they are the same game) Here Erich Chahi used some kind of 'what you look at is in perspective' wiev, just like the perspective changes when you look at diferent tings around you. Hard to explain, but get the game in some kind of legal way and see for yourselfe. A funny thing about another world is that in the first 25% of the game he uses lots and lots of cutscenes and small animations, but i the remaining 75% he uses two, and both of them  in the end...

And yes, i will update the subway-picture soon...

Thanx a million for all your comments. I'm currently working on an uppdate.

* Correcting perspective (at least the most obvoius mistakes)
* Added tracks.
* Removed half of the lights.
* Made escalators whider.
* Added benches but they looked like shit so I removed them again.
* Added fence so Pod wouldn't fall down on the tracks, but that made the platform
Ã,  Ã, look too short for the trains, so I remeoved the fence again. (Watch your steps Pod).

The scene is intended to be a scrolling room, and then correct perspective will look even more of then an incoret does, therefore i use the 'another world/ out of this world / flashback / future wars -style (thanx Helm for noticing)

And now some info for all the 'club for useless knowledge' -members here: Kymlinge is the 'ghost station' in Stockholms* subway-system. (each subway system have / should have one) It's never used since the suburb that was intended to be situated above it never was built. Nowdays the trains only stops to let dead people off and on at Kymlinge station...

* Capital of Sweden.

Ok, but if you had written 'sea' instead of 'seas' it would have taken 3/4 of that space and it would have been exactly the same idea. :)

He could have written C instead of seas and saved 75% space!

This is my subway station. My intensions was to give it
a cold, spooky and eerie feeling, and i think I've accomplished that.
I will add details like benches, a trashbin or two, and maybe a billboard

But I have trouble with drawing the tracs. When i do it, it looks like shit.
And since subway-trains are powered by a third 'eletric rail', I need three lines,
then it looks even worse.

Heres the story: The hero talks to a barman, and in one of the dialoge options he orders a drink. the barman then says $10, please ' and the dialogue ends, so the player can pay, or leave whitout paying. But now my scriting knowledge ends.

There must be  the folowing options:

the character have $10 credis, and pays. (and gets the drink)
the character have $10 credis, and does not pay (barman gets mad)
the character does not have $10 (barman gets mad)

BUT if the player havn't ordered a drink, the the click with the $10 on the barman should not result in anything!

help?

Uppdated pictures. The bottom screen is where you go
if you go right on the top screen. I'm planing to make the sign
of the motel relove, and ad some stuff here and there.

What do you think is a 'must' in a outpost like this?
Bar? Brothel?

I'm planning to ad a mine or something, so there is a reason
why the outpost exsists in the first place...
