Yesterday, out of nowhere, the purple team jumped like 30% ahead of other teams. Reds are catching up now. It's mostly due to cards (that steal points from other teams.
Of course I'm not in one of those teams.(roll) But tides may change.

They have Don't Starve, I heartily recommend it because it's awesomeness.
Plus multiplayer is coming (as free dlc) at the end of summer.

Yep, nothing really amazing so far. I'm in the market for Bio3 (with dlc) and Civ5 dlc, Batman:AK, but we'll see.

Meh, they're okay, songs are a bit samey though. There's a greatest hits album to be made of their stuff, but other than that not much love from me. I was a bit too young when they were in their "prime" and I missed the whole grunge movement almost all together so they didn't really affect me much.

This! (nod) One of the best, craziest, most intelligent songs of the era, and quite possibly the best animated video ever.
I loved the whole Heavy Metal vibe it had mixed with Warner animation style and Mignola atmosphere. I think McFarlane (Spawn creator) had something with it.

I must admit, I didn't play the game, but watched an 8+ hours of cutscenes edited with gameplay (it was awesome and fun, watched it in one day, I don't have a PS and I would probably not play this game on my own). The entry is cohesive and to the point so I guess it's ok. I'd very much put a spoiler warning in there somewhere though (maybe be you did, but I didn't see it).

The game offers far more than the mentioned relationship between two main characters, there's also Joel and his brother, partner, old friend. There's also the cannibals and their survival code etc. Story is full of decisions and acts that really are in moral gray area and I always kind of felt torn yet I could see character's reasons and point of view. Story is really good, but balance is great in this game, that might've been a more important point to the game's design.

All in all the game has awesome atmosphere, characters are very well written and the end left me very divided and content at the same time...which hasn't happened in a long while.

The stupidly/funny/nerdy thing I thought when I saw this - Hush episode would be perfect for explaining why there's no voice acting in a game.

BTW everybody should watch "Hush" episode, even if your knowledge of Buffy is limited to some basics (the story is very much standalone and can be watched without much prior info), it's just a brilliant use of sound and exploring the concept of the movie media and social communication. And brilliantly simple monsters that have their own spin on clichés. Maybe even watch it alone, because it has a certain creepy element.

First of all, save your stuff as png or bmp, because jpg creates artifacts because it aproximates pixells, if you look at this image up close, you'll see a lot of pixells of differenet shades. If you have them, use the original files to save in a different format from jpg.

Second thing, try to decide on the usage of outlines.

Third thing - she looks like she's leaning against the wall, look around on the forum to see poses characters take when standing straight up. It's usually god for her left foot to be under the head and her right foot to be a bit behind, that way the character looks stable on it's feet. Also, while I got what the hair style was supposed to be, might be good to have some more on it on the other side.

Something like this perhaps:

Reminds me of Mega Man which is high praise since those games have some of the best music in the history of gaming. Should work fantastic as an opening theme.
Yeah, it has more of a platformer vibe than an adventure.
If that's what you're going for though, it sounds good to me.

Ok, last question: You are Daniel Dennett and you just converted to christianism. Would you shave your beard?
You mean he's pick up line?

If some sociopaths, that are well integrated into society, actually "simulate" "normal" human behaviour/reactions (try to act like everybody else, because usually are unable to establish usual emotional relations to the world around them), does that make them more like an advanced AI or more human?

Maybe add some details to the bunker? So it's not just a hexagonal cylinder. Like side supporters, pile up some dirt on the bottom of the walls etc.

Nice, have no idea this was made for GB as well...brilliantly brave/silly of Nintendo. It almost sounds like an April 1st joke.

Ahhhhhhhh. Promise (Reprise). Ahhhhhhhhh :) :) :)
You mean the original tune from Flo Rida "Whistle", that Yamaoka arse should really make more original and cooler stuff.

Weird question, but does this film involve Nazis?

1. monitors should be a separate object, so you can move them around
2 a there are a lot of details missing and there's no lights so everything that makes 3d images cool, is kind of missing still, what lights are present are kind of badly placed. You have to mix real light sources (like the blue light from the window, light bulbs etc.) with ambient lights that actually make the scene visible, same as they do on a set.
2 b but most of all, you're missing the ambient occlusion, which would make this scene look much better and make the details that are there already, more visible
3. glass table and the big table seem a bit too far apart, it seems your model is too long or maybe the camera is not correctly set up
4. if you look at the flag, you'll see that the ceiling actually goes a bit higher up than in your room

LOL, so many naked people. You should provide a health warning before suggesting the googling of Muybridge. 8-0
...it's actually scientific/artistic, but I added a "warning".
#36
Well if you don't find anything googling "walk cycle", try "Muybridge" (NOTE: googling this may, or actually will, expose you to photos of naked people, shot with artistic/scientific intent), those are actual photographs of people walking.
#37
I believe it actually helps to do the side walking animation first, because it it's more noticeable when it's wrong/off. Then, when you got it right, you have a guide to the height/position of the arms, hands, legs, feet, knees and even head bobbing. There's tons of videos and pictures of walk cycles, I suggest you choose something that fits your style (a character in a comedic game won't usually walk the same way as in a drama and also there's a differnce between walking in high heels and regular shoes etc.) and trace/draw over it with your character, then do the same for front view.

Plus it'd help you put .gif of the walk cycles as well, that way people can see it instantly and not have to work on just viewing it.

I'm not sure about the length. I'll have to look at the files. As for the preorder, yep you get a DRM free download and a steam key.
Ah, cool. I'm probably gonna activate it on Steam, but still thanks.
#39
Might I ask a weird question - how long is the soundtrack? (if this takes a long time to find out, feel free to ignore the question)
And, with preorder, we get a Steam key and an option of a DRM free download?

I tried without much proportion rearragment:

Btw the darkest blue hue on the costume is modified because I could hardly tell it apart from black on my screen. And you put the eye patch on the wrong side in the front view (or at least it's different from the side view).
