It's because even though you've used ObjectOn(0);, it isn't processed (ie. the object isn't actually turned on) until something happens to redraw the screen, such as Wait(). So the object isn't on when you try the conditional "while (IsObjectOn(0) == 0)", and so the wait command never gets called, and the screen doesn't get updated until the end of the FadeIn() function.

I think that's why anyway, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I definitely prefer the darker-colour lines as opposed to the black lines. The anti-aliasing looks pretty good, fits with the style of the character, and the shading's pretty well done too. I think the room needs to look a little busier tho... I'm not sure what you can add because I don't know what kind of room this is meant to be. And do the floor a different colour or texture to the walls and ceiling.

Yeah but again with the technical rules. It would be like having a bg blitz with the rule "you may only use the photoshop spraypaint tool". Why not just think of a scene or a character, and let people make their own interpretations?

Oh yeah that's animated... it'll need a combination of plugins and a lot of hard work, ditching attempts, etc. to get that kind of effect. Give it a shot!

Well, Animation Shop that comes with paint shop pro should do the job. The plugins in Animation Shop look similar to some of the effects used in Byzantine (iirc)

Use

if(character[CHARID].view == x) {

}

Remember that character[CHARID].view is the character's view minus 1. You'll probably want to put the code in RepeatedlyExecute.

And please don't do that flaming text thing again :P

No it wouldn't, the bassoon and the bass would muddy each other up, and there wouldn't be any notes around the middle register :P

Aha, I just noticed the option in The GIMP to create an image with a transparent background instead of a white one. Okay, so no need for shadow maps after all :D

You'd have to add support for seperate shadow masks for idiots like me who don't know how to integrate an alpha layer into a bitmap.

Put one of the masks from the Scream films in it. That always pulls the laughs (well it should do :P )

imo South Park got a lot better around series 3-4, when they stopped bothering about the controversy factor and concentrated on making funny storylines with good jokes. The first episode I thought was also very good, but it got a little being-sick-for-the-sake-of-it around series 2.

It's because it doesn't mean it's unsymmetrical, but only has one symmetry (I assume because it's referring to its rotational symmetry or something) so asymmetrical is perfectly logical.
