MrMasse: yes it is :P you just try putting it anywhere else and making it look good without increasing the resolution.

Ok, the downwards walk cycle gave me a lot more problems, here it is:

Thanks for the replies.

First, about the 90° leg frame... it is there! For some reason you can't see it very well but I have stills proving it exists. Secondly, he looks a lot skinnier when in 320x200. Thirdly, someone said you should only draw mouths during a talk animation, so I listened to that advice.

Meh I made it seem like I haven't been listening to you guys. Ok, so I'll add in an extra frame between raising his lower leg off the ground and putting it back down in front, and see what happens.

Holy... fucking... crap! This is the most exciting thing I think I've ever seen come to AGS. It's absolutely perfect. I'm not kidding when I say I actually have tears in my eyes.

* Archangel calms down a little

I'm really looking forward to this. Jesus... that intro is just cinematic, and the music is so hautingly urban...

Ok, ArchAngel85, here goes...

Firstly, since I was here first, it is you who stole my name :P And besides, there must be hundreds of people on the internet who have the nick Archangel.

Secondly, you comments on evolution; the main problem I have is that arguments against it are substantially more flawed than arguments for it.

Thirdly, you go on about 'love', and yet, and I quote, "Someone who murders deserves to die. stuff like that. How about Bin Laden? think we should just leave him? no, Justice must be served." Isn't murder one of THE UTMOST FORBIDDEN THINGS stated throughout the bible? Surely then there is no way that you could condone the death penalty.

Fourthly, you say "If you open your eyes, don't be so narrow-minded, you'll see." Now which is more narrow-minded, believing blindly in a 2000 year old revolutionist, or believing in the top few hundred greatest minds of the past few centuries?

Fifthly, you say there are no contridictions in the bible. Well how's about these for contridictions. The Crusades. The elimination of an entire civilisation in the south of France, because of their homosexuality. I could go on, but my history is not that hot.

And finally, you complain about people stereotyping you. Well I'm sorry, but when you seem to fit a stereotype so perfectly, it's difficult to avoid.

I just downloaded blue river walk, and... wow. What do you use for these? Soundfonts? VST sampler?

Well, with some extensive help from Sylpher's tutorials, I had a go at making my character's first walkcycle. We've all met him before:

So, any crit?

Edit: Bleargh, dithering! If you could ignore the three dark pixels that jump around on his shirt sleeve, that would be great

What version of windows are you using? It's quite often possible to just install windows on top of itself, which will replace any corrupted files but keep your settings and data intact.

Note, however, if you do do this some programs may need to be reinstalled, if they absolutely require a later version of a dll. You'll also have to reinstall the latest directX, among other things.

Wowowow I wanna write the music for this thing! Tell me what kinda style you want, and I'll send you a sample.

edit: you can add me to msn at apolloice@hotmail.com if you prefer

The best way to solve stupid illegal operations is to reinstall windows.

Woodz, I think that site is a spoof. And in places, a pretty tasteless one too.

Our current physical life is hell, and being dead is heaven. That's one alternate view, anyway.

Bluecup ares teh hottie!

Well, I haven't downloaded the game, but I likes the sound of the plot very much; character-driven is always the way to go :) So yeah, this would be a good game to finish making.

Mr Trant, everything you have asked here is easily available from the AGS help file. Do a search for the words Ben here suggested.

I'll just point out that e-mailing solutions to scripting problems is normally frowned upon on technical-type forums, since it prevents other people from seeing what the answer was, and perhaps learning from that!

And HeartHacker: you started this thread just two days ago, and yet you have already given up on your scripting problem! You do realise that games of the magnitude you're describing often take over a year to complete?

* Archangel has become immensely suspicious of anyone who has 'Age: N/A' in their profile
