I have a smart phone  so I can tweet a bit as long as there's a signal,  have plenty of bandwidth this month too. I guess all we'd need do is mention to people to use it if they are tweeting ( possibly a mention in the newsletter?)
I'll be tweeting from @azuresama and have made my account public so anyonr who searches for the hashtag will be able to see it.

Too bad I can't be there. I hope you will keep us updated what is happening via newsletters or you might even tell us on irc what's going on.

Perhaps we need to get a #adventureX going on on twitter, so we can tweet about the day and stay at home people can contribute?

See you all then, I managed to convince two other friends to come as well  ;D

I booked, I'm looking into hotels and stuff now. Anyone got any recommendations?

Swishing? fading? I demand an animated gif!

I was really happy to see the e-mail about this, I was thinking about it the other day. I think it'd be about 3 hours travel for me, but as long as I can work out the date I'm up for it!

Cast when the script is done and locked down. There's nothing more annoying to me to get cast then have to wait to record, or have to keep doing retakes as the creator changes stuff.
Get the script done, and  enough together to be able to show potential VAs what you are doing. Then cast, and whilst you are waiting for lines to come in finish up on your end. With up to 19 VAs you may have trouble getting everything recorded, so I suggest you keep the deadline for final lines close-ish to the casting point. I will only audition when I know I have recording time coming up, and it's frustrating if there's a delay which puts deadlines in busy points for me. On the other hand you're right to start planning now as good voice over shouldn't be rushed.
Hope that helps!

I downloaded this whilst waiting for the final episode to appear on TTG, hugely enjoyable guys!

Excellent, I didn't expect this to be done so quick!   I got stuck in some obvious places  though which says more about me than the game  ;D

I loved So Blonde and I'm really excited about Grey Matter, so I say :yay!
I wouldn't mind a giant diamond either.
TBH it all depends what you want from an event. You could go for a big hall and have exhibits/tables etc or if funding isn't forthcoming what about finding a pub with function rooms or something? Function rooms could be space for talks and general pub would be social space? if you can promise a crowd some venues are happy to be free or cheap since visitors will buy drinks. Just an idea, would love a full on adventure con!

The Dig ( !) been wanting to play that, as well as LOOM. ;D

...I'd nuke the entire site and start again. Copy and paste useful text, but leave out any code.

Wooo I was thinking about this the other day and wondering if it was going ahead. I'm glad it is ^_^ I think things will be easier once you get the site up, as it is it's kind of hard to understand what's going on as it is. How far organised is this? I suspect once it looks concrete you can do publicity and get sign ups. I wouldn't start before you have stuff booked and a nice site up.
I'd also say make sure to get a version of the poster with some nice art perhaps for some AGSers or with permission art from your guests games.

As for publicity how about talking to the International Game Developer's Association? (http://www.igda.org/ ). If you want industry support and connections they may be able to help. I believe they have a London and Guildford Chapter.

It's out hooray ;D ;D Been meaning to get through this!

I guess this happens on any creative project.. I guess an idea might be to do all the graphics at one point in the dev period rather  than as you go along so that it's consistent.

The colours for the colours for the limbs is a really good idea, I did use it initially since I did a rough sketch for this sprite then did over in black. So you can't see it here.

Anyway,  doing some work on this. Decided to re-draw again because I'm still fighting my double pixely ways. He looks a bit chunkier but hopefully less jaggedy. But I wanted to start again so I get used to drawing characters this way.

Had a go with some colouring not done, I choose frontal lighting but I think I am straying into pillow shading.  ???

Thanks again to everyone for their time.

This sounds awesome,  perhaps you could also get support from some of the European adventure game developers and publishers?  ( Jowood is in Austria..)
Though be cautious if this gets too big there's health and safety and financial stuff to look into.

If it does go ahead, I am so there!

For me the fact Broken Sword Advance broke if you did it in the wrong order ( PRIEST GIMME MY SILVER), or the fact that Torin's passage wouldn't save for me.
