another thing...is there a way so that the DVD menus will work properly also?

well, unless i'm mistaken, dvd movie menus are mostly software or at the very least scripted, you could always try make an ISO of the DVD, then get something like Virtual CD6/IsoBuster/Daemon Tools and mount it in a virtual dvd drive, but a DVD ISO is gonna take up quite a bit of space, so you'll need either Win2k or WinXP using NTFS so you can store files larger than 4GB on your hard drive.
you'd probably be better off converting the movie to AVI or MPEG, then doing the same with any extras you might want...

*sigh* It's from a game. If you have problems with it, write to the creator.

i misread, i thought he said he tried to used magnets to degauss...
in that case, sounds like your monitor is fu- erm knackered, buy a new one, costs less than trying to get them fixed
#1049
if you monitor has an On Screen Display, look for a Degauss option, see if that helps any

it also depends on what music format you use, P:DA uses XM which compress really well, but i don't think the XMs it used were that big to begin with.
if you use mp3/ogg then that part of your game isn't going to compress at all, i just prefer to RAR things and let people unpack the game themselves, that way it's like a christmas present you open yourself, it's no fun when somebody else opens it for you...

here's a site with a guide on beep codes - http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm
apparently, 2 short beeps indicates a parity error, which i think usually relates to memory...
instead of asking us you should actually be asking the people that made your hardware, they can provide you with more help than you need

american boxing is too corrupt, and so is german boxing when Sven Otke is fighting, although he's retired now so none of that anymore, but i've seen a few fights in which the clear winner lost, or there's been a draw.
unfortunately i didn't get to see that fight so i can't really comment on it, but it can look like a boxer is winning if he's throwing more punches, but you can throw all the punches you want, it's landing them that counts...

do you have TWAIN32 drivers installed aswell as the scanner drivers?
also, you shouldn't rule out that it isn't the printer thing until you've actually ruled it out, cos i once had a problem with my microphone not working because i had a midi cable with my synth and joypad connected, as soon as i disconnected the joypad the microphone started working...

you know, it'd be cool if there was an external cut-scene maker for AGS, where you like set waypoints and what animations/sounds to play at that waypoint, then it generates to code for you kinda like those old 3D Movie Maker progs...

Oh, btw BOYD, did you notice the smeg-off 12 cm fan on the PSU? That combined with the heaksink and Scythe Samurai cooler should make sub-zero temperatures :P

If not, I can just break out the liquid nitrogen.

my PSU has exactly the same thing (plus blue lights) and the pc still gets hot, right now i'm having to take the sidepanel off and aim a fan inside the case, CPU temp is 44°C/111°F, motherboard is 30°C/86°F and my graphics card is 68°C, i thought the CPU would be the hottest thing inside the pc (what with it being an Athlon64 3400+) but it was pleasently surprised, plus it has a big fan glued to it..
